Christian Support Group Community Group
This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
I wonder if it was a bit of both? I think communion should be a time when we remember the tremendous sacrifice Christ gave for us. And that can produce godly sorrow. But if you felt some conviction, I don't think it was disappointment, but maybe a calling of God to come back and to live for him. I know you love the Lord, and if God is speaking to you, then the time has come to repent and come back. (I was going to say rededicate your life, but I read last night in a devotional, there is no such word in the Bible, but there is a lot about repentance.)
So I am not the judge, but my advice is to spend time with the Lord in the Word and in prayer, and I think God will answer your questions. And I will pray that you will find the answers God wants you to hear. And always remember
"God demonstrates his own love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8. Now that tells me that God loves and forgives us. All we have to do is ask.
I always love your posts. I have been away from the Lord. I hate to say it out loud. But I must be honest, with myself and God. Thank you for praying for me and please continue to do so.

“At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the peoples of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory."
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 11:35
Jesus wept.
I remember the moment God first showed me HIs grief. I was praying missing my own children. (14 years ago)Before that moment, I really hadnt considered that God grieves at all. Ever since then I have shared Gods grief with him, particularly when I am the cause. I believe Jen, that this experience was Gods spirit within you, revealing more of God to you just as HE did with me.
I think alot of times we are aware of JEsus sufferings but fail to consider God our Father's grief over sacrificing Jesus. I am so grateful for Gods sacrifice. Gods love for us came at too high a price. WE all know God is our comfort but few people realize we are also HIs. God certainly doesnt need us to comfort HIm yet what parent isnt comforted by being close to their children. What parent isnt amazed when their three years old child trys to comfort them when its obvious they are in distress. There is a verse which tells us God desires all men be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. I try to witness Gods love to everyone not from some desire to obey but from a desire to give God what he wants. I want all Gods children snuggling with God in his lap every day(right along with me).
God isnt dissapointed in you. He was just telling you how deeply He misses you.
My children have been separated from me for some 14 years or so now. I trust God that I will see then when Jesus returns. I have hope still that I could have time with them in this life. I grieve so deeply missing my children. It is inexpressable. This is exactly how God feels for every child(each human being on earth) of HIs that He is separated from. I do my best to hook God back up with all HIs kids and I know God is doing His best to hook me back up with mine.
I will pray that God sends your children back to you, as that would be beneficial to all of you. You have so much to share with them spiritually, it would most assuredly bless them. Thanks so much for commenting, we need to see more people involved on this site.
