Aww..praying for you today dear caregiver. I know the sad feelings of being blocked on facebook..it's happened to me, not only with my DIL and ES, but also my three sisters. The pain of rejection is like none other. May God bring you peace. My dear husband wisely discouraged me from using facebook, and eventually I just closed my account there because it was just hurting so badly every single time I checked to see how people I care about are doing...and getting blocked..just reminded me that they choose to cut me out of their lives. I truly understand your pain.
Have you considered staying away from facebook?? At least until you are stronger emotionally??

p.s. check out and listen to the "Blessings" song by Laura Story. I posted it on a discussion post today. It might help you put your pain in God's perspective because He loves you so much.

I also am blocked from my son's fb. He blocked the entire family years ago. I still have hope his heart will soften.

The first thing my son did after joining FB was to block me. That really hurt. I am beginning to feel like FB is just yet another avenue for people to hurt one another. I hardly get on FB anymore since my son blocked me.

I don't like facebook, but my ED has some code name and the one I suspect is her is totally private.
I can feel for you. Finding out you're a grandma again and then not able to see anything again. That has to really hurt.
I suspect my ED had a baby, but I have no way of finding out. Take comfort that you know, so you can pray for ALL your gc

She was my miracle baby , I was told to abort her during my 6th month , I had been on birth control pills for 6 months prior and during pregnancy and didn't know I was pregnant till she began moving around , didn't gain an ounce and then she was making me so sick , I almost died but I refused to abort . I carried her over by almost a month . I delivered her myself in a hospital bed in the hospital I was in , they had walked in and told me they thought she had hardened arturies , they said it would be awhile before she was born ... I never gave up on her ... and when she was born , I was never more happy ... I held her so close , my mother was there , she went and got the Dr , and they rushed her off to neo-natal ... she was so ill , she stayed in the hospital 2 and half weeks after I was released but I went every day to be with her ...

All her years I protected her , sacrificed for her , gave her what she needed and wanted ....

and for this .... estrangement .

caregiver, I am so sorry. To think you had such a hard time bringing her into this world & she doesn't appreciate it. Tell us the story of how you delivered her.

caregiver - God was definitely with you. He had a reason to give you that precious baby and that baby a wonderful mother like you. As I read your story, I could feel strongly that it was God's miracle.

But then God gave us all free will. It is that free will and Satan's hand who has estranged your daughter. Pray for her; never stop. God isn't finished with this story, I just know it.

Gordos4 , I kept telling the Dr she was on her way and he kept telling me NO it will be hours , my water broke within just moments after he came in and walked out . I was lying there , bed wet , my Mother looked under the sheet and there was her head and when she told me that I pushed once and she came , I sat right up and as her shoulders came I grabbed her and told my Mother to go get the Dr and Nurses . They came running back in and at first fussed at me saying she was not ready to come , but then saw everything had been done naturally and within minutes of them leaving ... I held her close and cried , didn't wanna let her go , but they said she needed to be cleaned up and tests done ... she had juandice and was put under lights those two weeks she had to stay .....

Norske1 , I will forever pray for her , till my last breathe ... and for my GC

Wow, that was some experience. If I were your daughter, I wouldn't be able to get that image out of my mind. It would give me a sense of peace.

I'm so sorry for you. I can still see my son's facebook and his girlfriend and her parent's facebook. They are all so happy together, having a good time, eating, laughing. It kills me that I can't even see him. I want to laugh. Prayers to you caregiver and all of you.

I am also blocked from my daughters facebook. My father gave me his password to his facebook, and I go thru there to look at pictures of my granddaughter and try to see what is going on in my daughters life. Its really sad isn't it. I shouldn't go on it at all. It is the only thing that keeps me going right now though, for now. I am praying for you caregiver1958, you definitely are not alone, we all are walking this road.

I do not go on FB but relatives have been blocked by ED.

I know how you feel too...I have 2 GC I have never even seen in person....I was able to get their photos off of FB back when I had an account...I no longer have an FB account....so can't check up on them anymore...but it is better that way....FB is of the Devil I think too......it causes so many hurt feelings all around.....it has even caused some people to commit suicide......very sad.....so ya I have not seen that son in many many years and never got to meet my Grandbabies....makes me very sad.....but not as sad as how my other son who I live with has been treating me.....he hurts me more than words could ever say....and he too was a miracle baby....I kept having miscarriages and with my 23 year old son I asked the Dr. to try progesterone because God revealed it to me through a book I was reading that it would save my baby....so the doctor agreed and my son was born healthy and happy.....I cherished everyday with him and treated him like Gold ....like the precious gift that he was from God.....and now he treats me like dirt.....it is very heartbreaking.......beyond words.....

Caregiver - my heart goes out to you i had a dr like that .I was in labor 4 five days up & down every 10 min then every 5 then back 2 twenty my ex bullied him into putting me in the hospital !/2 later she was born - all he had to do was cross the st. & he never made it. But you know even though your daughter doesn't appreciate what you are going through sometime down the road aways you will be able to tell your GD's they can only keep their kids from us 4 so long then they will want to know the truth & come looking for us & when they don't find a lunatic flying around on her broomstick but instead a kind warm GM planting flowers THEN RK r going to be sitting where we r now. We just have to be strong and "patient" the Master does not work on r shedule. It will all work out in the end. love martha
