This will be a hard week because of the recent loss of my DH. I am driving to my sister's home on Wednesday to spend a couple days with them. Both my sons will join us at some point. ES says he will be there but we will have to wait and see. Then I am coming back on Friday to make myself put up some Christmas decorations. Mommadarling - your day sounds wonderful!

Oh Norske you are going through a very deep valley right now. Please take care of yourself and take it one day at a time. You are in my prayers!

I am having my (step) grandchildren over this afternoon…. very happy about that. This week I will be working, and also preparing for a talk I'll be giving on Dec 2 at our church's ladies' Christmas dinner. Other than that, time with my husband, and maybe some Christmas decorations going up.

I've turned another corner in my healing journey for sure. So much to look forward to!

I'll be putting up our tree this week. Our two daughters and their 5 children will be excited. The grandchildren range in age from 2 to 12. Their excitement is what's making me look forward to Christmas. I'll be missing my son and his family, but I'm not going to let it ruin it for all the rest of us. I pray everyone here has a peaceful week.

DH and I are driving to meet my parents and sister for Thanksgiving - meeting halfway and staying at a beautiful looking resort. This will be the first Thanksgiving I haven't cooked in years and also the first Thanksgiving without any ECs. I am really looking forward to that dinner and also possibly doing something crazy (that I've never done before) like shop on the holiday! We'll see! Also we have tickets to see some fun shows and go cave exploring. My dad suggested all this and I'm so glad he did because I'm so excited to be doing something fun like this for the holiday. I think we're actually going to have an enjoyable holiday for a change! Blessings to you all this week. God is good and He is looking out for us even when we cannot see it.

Many of our family members will travel down to my brother's home to have Thanksgiving dinner. I will focus on Jesus and all of God's mercies. I will be thankful for the children who want to be in my life and continue to pray for our ED.

May God speak to the hearts of our EC this week.

This will be my first Thanksgiving without my ES and DIL and my father. I am looking forward to spending travel time with my husband, daughter (16) and son (4) and getting to my mothers: to enjoy her, my uncle ( my fathers last brothter) and his wife, we will talk and pray about my father and pray for my ES.

Just being with my mom, she says she does not understand and wonders how I do it as a mother, but you see my ES left her as well after he told her to "f" off. Today I am deciding to focus on the gifts of this Thanksgiving. Put the denial, trial and struggles of my ES behind me this week.

My DH and I are traveling out of state to be with my elderly parents and my sister and her family. I'm looking forward to the change of scenery and seeing everyone. I have already started decorating our home for Christmas. I still do all the traditional things we have always done. Nothing has changed except my ED is not present and has not been for a long time. Sure it is heartbreakingly sad, but I will not let my ED or the emotions that brings control me. It's a battle some days, but I am a survivor and still have a lot to do in this life.
And, believe it or not, I wish nothing but goodness and happiness for my ED - albeit without me. It is what it is.

What am I looking forward to? Friday, because Thanksgiving will be over. Then onto Christmas, which I am dreading even more.

I am rejoicing to be living back where I was born again so that DH and I get to be near both sides of our families for the holidays. We are spending Thanksgiving day with my brother and my folks. Then have many other family members to go visit this weekend...just a hug and a hello while they are all gathered in one place or another. Its been since 1989 that I have been this excited about the Holidays!! Praise the Lord!

My extended family is all renting a house at the beach for Thanksgiving long weekend. My parents really organized it so we would have a change of scenery and to get our minds off our ED, as this is our first holiday without her ( and baby we have never seen). My sister and her 3 kids will be there and my DH and son. We are ordering all the food, so no one is stressing in the kitchen. Looking forward to getting away and hoping not to break down emotionally on my sweet family who is trying so hard to be supportive and loving to us.

Praying for God to speak to these EC in their circumstances, especially over the holidays.
