CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Warning! This may sound strange.

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there who has knowledge of children, parents/grandparents and further along in the past, who were involved in the occult. If so, do you think there may be a relation between that and what you are now facing?

Well, I don't know specifically about anything occult in our past family history, but I do think that Satan is alive and well on planet earth and wants to destroy the family. He is a liar and a thief, but I also know that he is a defeated foe.

Well so pleased someone has mention the Occult. My two sisters have dabbled in fortune telling and spiritualism. They don't want to know me. Had that for years now. My Son who is not in touch went to fortune tellers when his marriage broke down. ... Need I say more! I blame this on the present situation.

I am unaware of any occult situations in our case. However, I fully believe estrangement is the work of the enemy. It is a spiritual battle and I know the enemy has put the blinders on our ED. I always pray for the chains to be broken.

I am not really aware of any occult situations here, however, I do believe my daughter in law is possessed by a demon, and I think my son is also under that influence. I am constantly praying for the devil to be banned from them and I am always mindful of the verse in James that says, "Submit to God. Resist the Devil and he will flee".

yes poodle----I think our DIL has also got satan running her. She is completely in tune with hurting people and our ES knows it. She tries playing games with him, but deep down I know he has her number. He won't admit it to us and hates it because we were right. The stuff she has done to us and lies she has told to defend her actions are unbelievable and yet she plays church, goes to all the women Bible studies etc. She is TOTALLY a "wolf in sheep's clothing" like the Bible says. Glad we are finally totally out of their lives. Husband just sent the gift card back to them for his birthday and said their actions and responses do not line up with a birthday card and gift and to keep it.

I don't know. I do know that God's Word warns us in 1Peter 5:8,"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." Your question reminds me that I read and prayed through a book called, "Prayers that rout demons," It was interesting. It did help focus me in my prayer time.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm aware that the enemy is busy wreaking havoc in all our lives and the lives of our children. I must say I'm more than a little shocked to find out about family in the past that were willing to put curses on others, as well as using symbolic devices to inflict pain. We're in quite the war aren't we? I don't want our grandchildren's generation to suffer because of previous family hooligans.

I definitely believe we are dealing with all dealing with an anti-Christ spirit in our EC's. Don't know so much about the occult with mine, but one of them left the faith for faux Buddhism in her teens. I say, "faux", because it's all for show - she's got all sorts of "spiritual" symbols in her home - statues, etc., but she absolutely does not follow any religion - she picks and chooses what she wants like she's in front of a buffet table. I actually said to her one time that I wished she would find a Buddhist temple and go because maybe it would make her "nicer" to be around. I was that desperate! But, if "occult" means all of these other spiritual symbols in her home, then yes, that influence is there and I have discerned it's presence many times when I visited her home.

Dear Mountan girl, I would say you are spot on. Those statues hold demons ...they sould not not in her home and got rid of fast. We are really up against it with our children. It's a spiritual battle we are dealing with.
katesmom95
Oh Mountaingirl, My daughter is currently claiming to be Buddhist. That's been a popular deceiving spirit looming over our culture...
MountainGirl56
I wish I could get rid of them, Ruth, but it's not my home. Not sure how to go about that.

Hi Mountain girl, is it possible to say to you Daughter that these objects are a danger in her home? Other than that pray she will throw them away. I know how difficult it is. I know a lady and her house and garden are full of Statues etc.

Wow,i cant believe other people think this cause my husband often mentions that he thinks dil and her sister has put something on our son, because of the complete different person he has become,i pray for him he is lost and i cant find him anymore,i amso brokenhearted.
katesmom95
you know edr1961, I'm just reminded that the Bible says rebellion is as witchcraft... and for sure, our children are rebellious. "Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols..." 1 Samuel 15:23.
