CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
How old is your son and DIL? How did your son hear about DH? I forgot who let him know.
Prayers for your DH's healing.
While waiting for DH to go in for surgery to remove his cancerous kidney, I texted ES, not even sure if he still had the same number, and said that his dad was having this surgery and wish he could be there with us but maybe he could keep him in his thoughts and prayers. He texted back and asked if he could call me. I said yes. He called and asked if he could come and sit with me and my sister and other son and I said yes. That was the opening door.
I am praising the Lord with you this morning!! I think you showed much wisdom in how you responded, and I will keep this in my mind for that day when the Lord brings back my ES to me too! So happy for you, wish I could hug you in person and share some tears of joy with you, as I imagine you are shedding some still!! HUGS!
Now we move forward. Thanks all of you for your prayers and always being there for me. I pray for all of us here dealing with the challenges of estranged adult children.
You have always been a blessing. Please continue to keep us posted on your reconciliation. It encourages us as to what God is able to do. Please, also, keep us posted on your DH's progress.
God bless you all.
