CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I love what you shared grandmama2. May God guide us all.
I too find myself pretty much paralysed with grief. I think it would be unnatural for us not to be as mothers. We have been hurt pretty badly. Sometimes I feel as if I have lost my skin and am walking around raw like a burn victim. Why we have to go through this only God knows.
I was listening to Joyce Meyer and she said "Think of yourself as a train on tracks going forward. Satan will try to de-rail you by putting obstacles on the tracks along your way. When you are de-railed, get up again each time and continue on your journey, a powerful train by God's help on the tracks." (Words similar to that).
Our deep hurt is tangible. The reality is great pain. While we are agonizing over our loved ones - are they agonizing over us? We are giving up precious time but they don't seem to give us a second thought. The loss is theirs after all there are so many wonderful parents on this site I wish I could reach out and hug you all.
I pray that someone will enter their lives who will say something or share something that will wake them up to what they are doing.
I have seen that our ED is not wasting her young life. She lives near us and we here things from others. One day, she may wake up to what she has done. We do not know when or how God will do the work in our EC's lives. We keep praying.
