Absolutely - we see it every day. Satan is getting stronger daily. Not only in what you say about destroying the family, but with friends and neighbors. We lived in the Twin Cities for 34 years in the same house and with the demands of our jobs, etc. we hardly knew our neighbors. People aren't taking the time to "visit" as my parents' age group did.

And everything you said is so true. The living together thing does bother me. Many of my friends' children, even my nephew, are living with someone, having children with them, but not seeing the need to marry.

When we were raising our children, and even now that it is just my DH and me, we always say grace, eat together at the table. Occasionally, DH and I do grab a sandwich sitting in front of the TV, but raising our children it was important for us to sit at the table, TV off and talk about our day.

All that said, one son grew to love family and his church; the other did not. While we all have free will, I do believe the pull, in our case at least, by a girlfriend to do things he wasn't raised to do, has caused our ES to close the door on his family.

Yes, Satan is alive and well....

Satan is tugging our children away and our society. Everything has to be acceptable or we're not loving. Somehow Satan's teaching our children to do what they want because God will just forgive them anyway. It's not what I taught and it's not what our church teaches. Still this generation is do what you want. God will love you anyway. Even though I try to explain that loving God means doing his will, it falls on deaf ears. Too much in the news, media, and sadly even seeing people in church who say they love God, but have a "good reason" for living together.
I brought my children to church every Sun., said grace etc., but Satan has total control of 1 and working on the other. She's living with her bf for the summer as she's laid off for the summer and he got a job 8 hrs. away. She says she's sleeping on the couch, not with him, but doesn't understand that she's destroying her witness to others
Praying for all our EC and that Satan is stopped from influencing anymore

From everything I read and in the messages of our minister, I believe Satan will not stop but our daily prayers for our EC is the only thing to bring them back to God and God's ways, the right ways.

As the second coming gets closer, Satan will get stronger. Sometimes I think God might get tired of my same prayer all the time but I believe he takes those prayers and uses them - in HIS timing.

Satan seeks to destroy. He has brought our Country to an all-time immoral low. He, also, wants to destroy us over our trial of estrangement. He already got our EC to go against God's Word and ways. My DH and I have strongly felt the attack over the past 18 months, from the enemy, on every level. The enemy of our souls would love to see us lose our faith, get angry at God and blame one another, fall apart physically, and be destroyed mentally and emotionally. He knows when we are weak and vulnerable and goes after those who are seeking to serve the Lord. Only Jesus will give us the victory as we spend time with Him.

We do not know what our EC will do or not do moving forward as we can not answer for others but we can pray for them. Estrangement is one of the evil signs of the times.

I have felt under attack now for so many months,so many ways, mental physical emotional but worse spiritual,that happened at time of estrangement and Eds nasty cruel letter.The funny thing is it came after a phone call in which I stated ,I keep you and your brothers in my prayers, and sometimes light a candle for our family. I know she is being swayed by issues of security as she no longer works[at least didnt in March] and Im sure finding her bio Father who abandoned us both way back in the 60s plays a part.I believe Satan uses people and family members to destroy the faithful.He comes in many guises.The media and politics play a huge part and even more so the internet,I honestly see a sharp escalation in moral decline where black is white and white black.Despite all this,I have to carry on to preserve my soul.Thanks to the above posts,my resolve is strengthened.

Even though ED doesnt want me in her life, I am still her loving mother, but will pray for forgiveness for her and also myself, for mistakes I have made.

Purple, I have thought of this often. My SIL was a pawn in Satan's hand in his attempt to destroy our entire family. It grieves me that he used him in that way, and that SIL allowed it...although I do believe he is not emotionally stable, and may never have been.

Do you think Satan despises a strong, stable Christian family because it is God's way of launching solid, faithful young adults into the world to do His work? I think the reminder in the other thread about our children being arrows applies here as well...if Satan can interfere with that process, then he can effectively damage God's kingdom...and of course cause His people a lot of pain at the same time.

I agree that Satan goes after the strong Christians. Our minister told my DH and me that he had never met such strong teen boys who verbalized their faith so openly as my two sons. Shortly after, my ES became involved with his now wife who has NPD and claimed she didn't believe in our faith because she had her own different faith.

Well, let's see satan come against the power of prayer! I am praying for you all and placing your handles on prayer lines so that people worldwide can pray for all our families - no details, just the name handles - anonymous - God knows.
We can prayer - and even fast for our children.
They are dedicated to Jesus Christ our Lord and not to satan and he will NOT have his way with our precious children - no, no, no!!
Never give up hope no matter how deep the hurt and how sorrowful the despair. We are not alone and we can fight the fight of prayer!!

Ishallwearp..... Thank you for your post. It is what I needed to remind me to take up armor against Satan and let go of the "poor me". I have read that God wants us to be direct with him saying exactly what we want. I have also read that we are to tell Satan to go, to leave us, in the name of our Lord.

I can remember when I would sit in my car waiting for the bus to take me to work and I would pray and start by saying "I love Jesus, I love Jesus, I love Jesus". Satan hates those words.

Satan has power but he in not match for God. The enemy knows when we are weak and vulnerable and tired. We need to cover ourselves each day with the armor of God and stay in His presence. Satan has tried to destroy us all on many levels throughout our estrangement. Through prayer and standing on The Rock he will not succeed. Victory in Jesus, our Savior, forever.
