CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...

I am asking my dear friends to pray for myself and my loved ones. My mother who has lived with us for 13 years is coming home from the hospital to start end of life care. It appears that the Lord is calling her Home.
When our 24 year old ED left 3 1/2 years ago it deeply saddened mom. They had a close relationship. Our ED did not keep in touch with a grandmother she professed to love. I did get word to her through her friend regarding grandma's condition. ED wants to see my mother but I will proceed cautiously.
Thank you for your prayers concerning mother. We have a beautiful support group.

She is now healthy, happy and with those who went before her. I always say it is us left behind that are sad, not the ones who pass. I will keep you in my prayers. Did your ED get time with her?

Thank you. Our ED did not get to be with mom due to my having to make a decision. It would have presented problems with other family members plus mom was not responsive. I will include her in the memorial service we have in a couple of months from now at church.

Prayers for comfort and peace during this time of grief for you and all your family. I truly understand. My Mom has been gone almost 7 years and I still miss her every day.

Lindajoan, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you were a wonderful daughter and a blessing beyond words to your sweet mother.

I'm so happy for your Mom ~ she's met Jesus face to face! She has all the answers to every question we've ever asked. But I'm so sorry for the loss and sorrow you must be feeling. I pray for God's inexplicable peace to flood your soul.

I also took care of both parents at the end of their lives. Also the loss of my late husband. My prayers are with you. God works in mysterious ways. Maybe He will use this time to unite your family. God bless you and yours.

lindajoan- so very sorry...praying for you and your family. Please take good care of yourself

Yes by all means take good care of yourself and guard your heart. God set the scene so your ED would not come and upset you and everyone else. How faithful He is ! It is just a shame these EC only think of themselves, so sad that your mother never got to see her very much. My mother was always very close to our ED more than any other of her grandkids. But ED pretty much ignored her completely in her last years.
