I am asking my dear friends to pray for myself and my loved ones. My mother who has lived with us for 13 years is coming home from the hospital to start end of life care. It appears that the Lord is calling her Home.

When our 24 year old ED left 3 1/2 years ago it deeply saddened mom. They had a close relationship. Our ED did not keep in touch with a grandmother she professed to love. I did get word to her through her friend regarding grandma's condition. ED wants to see my mother but I will proceed cautiously.

Thank you for your prayers concerning mother. We have a beautiful support group.

Sorry to hear about your mother. Having lost both my parents I can relate to the suffering of losing them and it never being the right time to say good bye. I pray your ED takes this to heart and realizes that life is so short and that we only get one set of parents and we need to love them for as long as they are alive. I pray her heart is softened towards you. May God give you comfort during this time.

I echo what forloveofmom said to you lindajoan. I've been down that path as well and said good-bye to both my parents. It's never easy, and added to that is your situation with your ED. I'll be praying for you and your family too. God bless.

Lindajoan, I will pray for you. I too took care of my mom in her last months of life. The Lord is entrusting her care to you. He knows you are the one to be with her during this precious time. May God bless you.

lindajoan - you and your family are in my prayers. When Al got cancer is when our ES returned. Perhaps your mother's condition is the thing to bring your ED back. Your mom would be happy about that. As my dil told me, 'Aaron will have many regrets for missing 7 years with his father that he can't get back." I never said anything to him because I knew he was grieving. My prayer is also that God gives you the right words to say to your daughter when you see her. I have lost both parents and I miss them all the time.

Praying for strength and wisdom for you; and peace and an easy passing for your mother. I'm glad you got to take care of her for as long as you did.
I'm almost positive this will open your daughter's eyes. I'll pray for her too. She'll need acceptance and forgiveness and time to grieve.
