Norske1, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's fall and surgery. He is blessed to have such a caring wife with him now. Praying for you both.

My prayers are with you and your husband at this time. So sorry to hear about this unfortunate accident. My husband also has diabetes, and I understand how this can complicate matters.

May the Lord give you all the strength you need at this time...
Will you be notifying your ES about his father's accident?

My husband is so hurt by our son's unfair estrangement, that my husband doesn't want me to ever notify our ES if anything like this happens to him...it's hard to follow through on that request, however I respect my husband's wishes. Hope you know what's best to do. Lean on Jesus...He will be with you both at this stressful time....

sadmad11 - my husband thinks like yours does. He would not care to have me call our ES. I called and left a message on his cell on his b'day and we haven't heard anything; didn't expect to. I just had a long conversation with our other son though and he is praying for his dad.

I think God might be tired of me; I have been crying, talking, praising, asking for miracles all day.

Norske, sorry I missed this yesterday. Definitely in my prayers today. Please keep us posted as to how things are going. So many here have gotten so much from your posts that you know you have people here who care deeply about you.

When things get overwhelming it's easy to feel far away from God. Just remember that's where faith comes in. God's still with you and God's still working.

The surgery went well but the ortho surgeon found a lesion on his bone and sent it to pathology. Bone scan and CT scan tomorrow. I am praying it isn't cancer. Please pray for us.

CT scan came back. Stage 4 kidney cancer which has spread to the chest wall, ribs and lymph nodes. We are in shock. There were no signs. Dr. said it is only about 2 months old but rapidly spreading. If he hadn't broken his femur bone, we would not have known. We meet with the oncologist tomorrow to decide how to proceed. I am going to suggest the Mayo Clinic for experimental drugs.

I have been praying nonstop; many churches are praying for us and many family members and friends. Not sure why this is all happening, but we hold onto hope that God is with us and will get us through. I'm not ready to let go of my DH. We had planned to grow old together.

Oh NO! I'm sending up the prayers. At least the fall helped it be found quickly. Keep us updated.

Norske1 : I missed this yesterday also. I will pray for good results from the bone scan and CT. Your husband is so blessed to have you a loving wife beside him. Do understand those times when we pray and plead for God's help and He is silent and it is at those times I keep reminding myself God did hear me and He is with me and I am reminded of the "Footprints" poem and am comforted.

God's love is never ending and He fiercely loves us.
