CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
- Writing loooong posts that can be a bit much to take in all at once.
- One loooong continuous paragraph with no paragraph changes.
- One paragraph with no periods to indicate end of sentences.
- Yes, capitals overdone do indicate yelling and an angry tone of voice. (Occasionally done for emphasis is fine)
Others may add to this but those are the ones I have found to be more difficult to read and will sometimes just gloss over them rather than try and decipher them.
Hugs to you today!
Mattie
It does not bother me at all. I do the same with words that I want to emphasize. I don't see why it would bother anyone. We all have much BIGGER things to deal with in life to not let the minutia be a problem.
I hope you feel heard here! I am trying to follow this blog better than I had been doing. My problem is always one of time. (I am at work now, but it is a little slower today.)
However, I must admit that I am GUILTY of writing too much, when I do write. Even before I read that above from Mattie, I felt my posts were too long. It is hard for people to read so much. For me, I am going to try to be more succinct! - Is that how you spell it? :-)
Nobody on here is perfect, we all try our best to communicate. I think getting the feelings out and expressing emotion if it is all one sentence or misspelled, no big deal. If we start to pick each other apart on how we write then people will be too self-conscious to write anything and will eventually leave. That is not good and sure will not help them. In my opinion, we all should try to be sensitive to feelings and understand everyone is different and that is just how our good Lord made us --- unique as an individual and equal.
When I mentioned "loooooong posts" I had in mind a topic that someone posted that was so long that it went into page 2! A few people commented on its length and few people responded to it. I have not seen one THAT long on here at all so please Shelly, do not think I was thinking of your post at all! I am glad you mentioned it so that I could clarify it though.
For me, I would not want to feel as though I had to be perfect in my writing skills before I could post freely either. I misspell words (although I am using spell-checker now to help with that) and will occasionally leave an important word out that totally gives the wrong impression and therefore, don't get the responses that I would have gotten otherwise. I too have a hard time knowing when to start a new paragraph and so I probably overdo it. I have also been known to write a long topic (but never 2 pages) so I plead guilty to that because I know that when I sit down and write from the heart, I am not thinking about how long this is going to be. I think most people can and do understand that here.
Blessings to all.

If it were, the <b><i> wouldn't show here.
I like the way NDY has 'worked around' the lack of the feature for her personal emphasis.
