CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Just read your post, didn't try to get into all the comments, but your daughter sounds like an ungrateful brat right now. Sounds like you have gone out of your way to help. I tried and tried to please my ES, but nothing did any good, and I finally detached. I could not please him with anything. When I did stand up to him, that is when I got cut off. This is so extremely painful for us as mothers, that I understand where you are coming from. What is wrong with these young people today? I think it is sort of a general sickness in society now.

Right now you are hurting and in one of the valleys of life so to speak. We have all been there. Do what is best for you right now to work through all your emotions. You are at the end of your rope! You need some time out!! You need some healing time.
Living with a family estrangement is extremely painful and can even be debilitating. Healing is possible. Healing starts from within. The most important reconciliation is the one you make with yourself. That way, your family's willingness or unwillingness to participate in a healing process will not be able to take away your peace of mind. When you feel good about yourself and the ways in which you relate to others and are at peace with your spiritual side, you'll be okay whether or not your family speaks to you.
