How Can I Cope?
My daughter has very little to do with me. How can I live my life without the heartache?
She is in her early 40s, has a good husband, and 4 boys. Until a couple of years ago, she lived within walking distance for 17 years, but is now about 15 minutes away by car.
She very seldom calls unless she wants something, and rarely responds to my attempts to contact her by phone or text. She absolutely never comes to my house unless invited along with the rest of her family for an event like Easter. Her boys do come stay at my house over night, but when she drops one off or picks one up, she doesn't even come in.
We are not close and never have been mostly due to the fact I had her when I was young and I have had lots of challenges in my life.
My only son passed away almost 7 years ago and so my daughter is all I have left besides my husband. The pain is almost unbearable. I try to trust God and do my best to live my life, but then it always comes back, especially after I've had some kind of contact with her.
How can I cope so I don't end up going to an early grave?

Agrandmothersheart, thank you for sharing that and I am glad to hear you are reconciled with your daughter.
I've read every one of the responses and I am sorry if I have not responded to each one individually. I do want to add that I feel so much more at peace than I did when I wrote a few days ago. It has been such a comfort to me just to be able to talk to others that understand. I also realize my daughter is not "physically" estranged from me like some of yours, however, it still hurts.
Because I lost my son 7 years ago, I have a very difficult time of trusting God with my daughter now. I trusted Him with my son and so now how do I get passed that and trust Him with my daughter?
