Paul, I don't know the scripture, but i know how you feel, it hurts watching the EC hurt the other's that you love... i believe things happen for a reason, and with my ES, i am sure he is drinking beer more than he should and it would break my heart to see it.. Hang in there I don't think I will ever understand estrangement and why these children have to act like this!! HUGS

That vs. is talking about retaliation. None of us are returning evil for evil with our EC. We're called to love our EC no matter what. We don't have to like what they do, but we grieve for their actions like God is grieving for them. Something's going on with them that's pulling them away from God.
I was thinking about the creation today and how Eve and Adam were tempted to eat from the tree; the one thing they weren't allowed to do. Why God put that tree there I don't know. I'm going to ask when I get to heaven. Anyway I was thinking we all have a tree we're pulled to. Our EC got pulled to a tree they're having a hard time getting away from...mostly sex and forbidden love.

I think the tree was there because God gave us free will. I wouldn't want my husband to love me because he was made to, or my children. God does not force anyone. I struggle with anger some days. I have to remind myself we are in a spiritual warfare and the ec is playing in Satan's playground. They are blinded, they need prayer, however don't get me wrong it isn't easy, we are hurt to the core but not without a God who has every good thing in His plan. The devil likes to get us going with how angry and hateful we should be, not a godly anger but one of the world. I find myself going over and over this. Please as angry as you are and I battle to, don't give up praying for that miracle of our EC running home to God.
May our trust always go back to God's divine plan. He knows our hurt and feels our pain.

Im not having the best few days,although I have accepted situation and left it in Gods hands,I have moments of great sadness as this seems to have knocked at my very being.I unconditionally love my children but the shock My ED caused me a few months ago,leaves me weakened and worried that her behaviour will cause me more problems and effect other family members,This because she intends moving back to the county I live in.,it was easier for me to cope knowing I wouldnt bump into her,do you understand?Rest of my family have been great and dont understand what shes doing [dont think she does].I just dont want this poison to spread, and have had a few sleepless nights.This year I honestly feel Ive been under spiritual attack,so I need your prayers.

Paulang45, It is very hard not to be angry (even righteously angry) knowing that our EC are disobeying God' Word by not honoring their parents (estrangement). I, also, hurt for the extended family (including a 92 year old mother) who was walked out on, as well, when our ED left home 18 months ago. I am not sure I will ever get over that. I have forgiven but I am not sure I will ever get over it. None of us parents caused this and ONLY God can change it. Let's pray one day He will.

Until then, we will live one day at a time thanking Him for His many blessings.
