CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...

May God give you His peace and comfort today. Please be good to yourself. I hope you and DH can spend a nice evening together. God bless you both.
One day before our son married her we ran into this little older lady that I always talked to at church. She was a quiet but wise person who had been a Christian for years. We were talking about our son and him getting married to this girl. She said, "Well I went to (this Christian college in MN) with her grandma and she was one person you never wanted to be seen with". Oh wow---that really opened our eyes and from then on many people filled us in on her family. Our son was so gullible and now is an unhappy person with 3 kids......we warned him but he wouldn't listen.
Ruth-----I am so very sorry for you and the circumstances you are in. There are several estrangement groups on DS that may give you comfort too, you may want to look into them. You know down deep you did the best and what you knew how to do in raising your EC. Do not allow satan to condemn you and try to drag you down. We all can only do what we know best with our children and then remember it is 'their choice' how they choose to behave (I have to remind myself of this also). It sure does not take the pain away from our hearts but it gives us comfort and peace in knowing God knows the truth. Take care of yourself. I and some others on here have learned to let go of them and make a life of our own. (hugs)
