CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I pray everyday that this will be resolved. I miss my daughter and my grandchildren terribly. I believe God will use this for His glory and I know that He is here with me through this.
Welcome here and God bless you.
I think that the world is topsy turvy now and since childish is all "they' understand...perhaps Norske is right we need to play "the game if you will" at the only level they seem to understand.
At least that is my answer to my estranged daughter...if she wants silence...she gets it back
If she wants secrets and no communiction with family...than that is what she gets from me I will tell her nothing even thru a mutual friend
If she wants no contact...cards...holidays etc., then that is what she gets...nothing from me either
If she wants to act like she has a new family then she can wonder if I just might be doing the same thing
If she wants to rewrite history etc...well I WONT DO THAT as I cherish my good memories...they are mine and she cannot tarnish those by her words.
Simply put...if all the understand is the childish game "Go Fish" and I am playing by Monopoly rules then we will never find any common ground and of course they also think they are winning "Go Fish" so I can play Go Fish also...maybe she forgot that...hmmmmm
Blessings
