My daughter graduated from the university and decided that she would not come home. She wanted to live with a room mate and do her own life. That was great but she suffers from bi polar and depression so I am concerned. I just found out that she moved in with her transgender partner and won't speak to me and won't tell me where she lives. I believe she is doing this because she was raised as a Christian and she knows I don't approve. But I still love my daughter. My heart is hurting and I spend multiple days just crying. I never knew that I had so many tears. I hold to my faith more than ever now and I have left it up to God to take care of it but it doesn't help with the pain.

I was able to spend a little time with my daughter in Mother's Day. Thank God However, now she isn't talking to me again.

Mimi, you got to see her on Mother's day and it went well, what a wonderful blessing! The rest will come later, take this victory now and know that she's not completely hardened her heart toward you, you did see her for a while....that is a start. Hold onto hope, you won't know what God is doing in her life until she's given in to it. No one in my family except my husband knew of my intentions to get back into church and I was as far away from God as I could get. I regret that I broke my mother's heart for 10 years living a selfish life out in the world and raising my son with the wrong values, but I DID eventually come back to God....your daughter can too. Keep faith that it's happening under the surface, outside of your view.

Thank you to everyone who wrote supportive comments about my sharing my experience, I thought it could help mimi feel hopeful that sometimes change is happening even if mothers don't see it.
