Our son called today, and just dont know what to think he was softening as my dh put it. And today he was hateful toward his dad, it seems like he wanted to make sure people seen him do the what your children suppose to due in emergency{ coming by with coffee,offer for us to stay with him and family but honest he knew we wouldnt but the offer was heartwarming,made us feel good] And now since emergency is over so is his kindness.And here we go again,is this what happens alot of times?What do you do?How do you deal with the false hope?Why bother? Our son said him and his family are going back to west virgina the weekend to celebrate dil gm bday,and his bday. Which is Thursday I have a gift so i will see if he will come by that and hope he bring gs with him only have seen gs 1 time since mothers day for about 1 hr. Our dil has not even called or seen dh since mothers day even though he had the major surgery,am i over reacting?

Our son came by and he came with gs, i cried like a baby my gs asked"did you miss me"? broke my heart and then gs told "i miissed you". I feel such a weight lifted i saw my gs,my heart feels so light.He stayed 11/2 hr but tthat is fine i feel so good.They are going to wv,and gs so excited to go.I am going to focus on my gs,son i am not going to worrybout dil.She is my son choice not mine,

difficult....God is always good but he gives us a brain for a reason too or else we would be robots. Oh for sure she is doing things "their way" and probably want something from her too since she is pretty old.

Forgiveness is done for the person who was wronged to feel free to move on. However, if there is no apology or remorse then what keeps these AC from turning on her again? So many people get caught up in the misunderstanding of forgiveness. "burden too heavy for her" ?? She is not very wise for her years. IMO....she is allowing them to show her disrespect by letting them return w/o first having a talk with boundaries set and even then I would never trust them again.

I amso thankful for the little time i had with son and gs,and so enjoyed it.But in the back of my mind the joy is only temporary.I said nothing to him about how we have been treated,and dil hasnt spoke yet my mind sits and just runs.They are in wv and told son to have a good time,he and dil went down there to celebrate dil gm bday with my sons bday.And my bday was june 7 with no thought of me from them,they were in wv that day also.So even though the feeling of happiness was temporary it felt so nice to have gs arms around my neck

edr.....be really careful not sacrifice your own well-being and health for a few crumbs.....you are worth more than that and God wants what is best for you.....He never plays games with his love.

My ES has just come back into my life. He said he could not remember why he was angry at me...and I believe this is true, as my ED got him involved and he just went along as he would not want to go against her. Then his wife got onboard (she is very hostile toward everyone). Now my ES is divorced and back to his old self. Did I demand an apology..no. I thought about it. I just asked him if there was anything to hash out....that's when he said he couldn't remember what it was all about...two years of that! We picked up where we left off, but I have to say, I am keeping a close ear/eye on things. I will speak up if there is disrespect. He has told his sister he came to visit us, not sure how much flack he got..didn't ask...I don't discuss her. Perhaps God is working on her too. I think re: apologies, one has to be discerning of the circumstances...I didn't feel it was necessary, my son seemed humbled, no anger in his tone, reaching out, life had turned upside down on him and it was like the evil hold that had been on him was gone. I just listened. He is going through a lot, I am not rescuing, but sharing Who I go to when times are rough and he is going to his guy group..so I am very hopeful!

You are using wise discernment....I can understand that sometimes an apology is written out on a person's face. I have seen it before too with some people, it really is all in the eyes I think.
