Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

My notes from session 3
Session 4, Andrew Wommack “The Power of Immagination”
God wants you well, but it’s our THINKING that gets in the way. We need to realign our thinking. God wants you well more than you want to be well.
When sickness gets in your mind and in your heart, it permeates your thinking and it’s hard to get people healed. Because a person that has been sick for a long time starts to see themselves sick. They talk sick, they think sick, they dream sick. That’s the image they have. We need to see ourselves well in our imagination.
Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” You have a self-fulfilling prophecy on the inside. You see yourself a certain way. This applies to every area of your life.
Your imagination is a governor. Once you begin to go beyond what you see yourself doing, it just stops you dead in your tracks, and you can’t go beyond it. As you think in your heart, that’s what you are.
The sad fact is, many of us see ourselves sick. You see yourself getting older, and you think, “If this is a problem now? Man, what is it going to be like as I get older?” You see all of these things and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Psalm 103:12-13 (NLT) “He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. (13) The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.”
What kind of a parent would want their kid to be sick if they had the power to heal? That would be considered child abuse. This is saying: in the same way a father loves a child, God loves you.
God wants you well. In the KJV verse 13 says, “He pities us” The NLT says He is “tender and compassionate” to his children.
Psalm 103:14 (KJV) “For he knoweth our frame; he remembeth that we are dust.”
The word “frame” in this verse is the Hebrew word, “yetser” and translated literally it means “conception.” It was translated as “imagination” 5 times in the Old Testament.
One of the clearest is Genesis 6:5, “…every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continuously.”
“Yetser” was also translated “mind” as seen in Isaiah 26:3 “The LORD will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.
So “yester” in Psalm 103:14 was translated “frame” because your mind is what holds you up. You can’t do anything without it. Your mind is your spiritual womb. “Yetser” means “conception.”
Your mind/imagination is where you conceive things. You can’t do anything without your imagination. If you go somewhere and park your car, you have a picture in your mind of where you left your car. Sometimes when you are returning to it, you have to stop and think, “Now, where did I leave my car?” You search your imagination and picture it in your mind. That’s your imagination.
You probably haven’t counted the windows in your house, but if asked, you could go through your house using your imagination and count them.
The definition of “imagination” is just the ability to picture something in your mind or in your heart that you can’t see with your eyes.
You think in pictures whether you realize it or not. This is your “frame,” it’s how God made us. God knows our frame which means imagination. This is how He created you, to depend on your imagination to accomplish things.
Genesis 11:6 “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”
God was saying, “If you can imagine it, you can do it.”
The imagination is so powerful that it actually threatened God’s plans for the human race. So He had to do something to divide their ability to communicate. He confused their language, and gave different languages to stop their ability to communicate and merge their imaginations together.
If you can imagine it, you can do it.
