All of my life , I have felt worthless and the then prophets at my church (3 of them) told me that God loves me)woohoo! I am so grateful to HIM!

Never forget how much God loves you. He loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die for you!

The feeling of worthlessness comes from the enemy. I'm so glad you were able to get the word from the prophets in your church and that it helped you.

God does love us no matter what.

I worked on my feelings of worthlessness and negativity with a counselor and positive self-talk. God lead, of course.

kathilee, I read the article and the scripture quotes were great for reminding us of how much God cares for each of us. When I was growing up, my parents never praised us or encouraged us, they were afraid we'd become proud! LOL If anything, none of us had any self-worth or confidence. The Good News is Jesus loves me, God loves me, Holy Spirit loves me, and they know everything there is to know about me, good or bad. The fact I'm worth something to God Himself is everything to me....

Sometimes I try to fathom the complete perfect love that God has for me. I never can, of course, and end up on my knees thanking Him.

Judy, I think we had things in common in our childhood although my mother paid me no attention because she was drugged up on valium and in a zombie state..I remember being hungry and she told me to eat a few soda crackers. we were deprived. Praise the Lord my grandmother loved me and she gave me lots of great things..love and food she sang gospel hymns too about God.

Makes me think of that David Crowder Band song. We sing in in church sometimes and it usually brings tears to my eyes.
