It is hard to hear the still small voice of God when your soul is screaming in pain. Don't give up, stay in faith and pray. God will shed light on your path.

Kimmy, I am going through almost the exact same thing right now. Every time I seem to get a glimpse of a better life, something happens and I find myself right back in a bad spot. I wish I were able to help you but I don't even know how to handle my own situation.

I always like to think of the great poem Foot prints in the sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

â??You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?â??

The Lord replied, â??The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.â??

I love that poem! It's very comforting. Kimmy, I know a bit about how you're feeling, get support from people at your church to pray with you. Stay away from "well meaning Christians" who say that depression is a result of unresolved sin in your life.
