Do you remember the three monkeys Speak no Evil, See no evil and Hear no evil? As a child, I was quite curious about them. As a Christian living in a very fallen world, I believe we should stand out from the non believers and live purposefully and therefore protect ourselves from evil as much as we can. It would be very difficult to be perfect in this area, but with Gods help and much prayer and bible study, we can improve.
This is my prayer for us for 2014, That we would be strong, peaceful, courageous, wise, walking with love, closer to Jesus and following Him with a deep bond. These qualities will not only enrich our lives but also impact others in a very meaningful way.
Just as the new year is about to begin, if there is anything that would be important to the Lord, it would be to have a closer walk with Him. I truly believe all of us need improvement in this area. Jesus hates evil and therefore we should as well.
My prayer for all of us, is that we feel His love, peace, hope and joy very deeply.
May the Holy Spirit be filling us up on an ongoing basis and may we follow His leadings throughout 2014, storing up for ourselves treasures in Heaven.
