Years ago, a guy friended me on Facebook under a fraudulent name but admitted it and wanted me to spy on his old gf. We became really good friends. He gave me a lot of food from his restaurant and made a nice dinner for me. Then, the tables turned. He started a new business and tried to sign me on. He put 3 credit cards in my name. He ripped me off for about $4,000. He would not get back to me. He died a few years ago. Talk about an expensive lesson! I'm sorry for all that you are going through with home and car repairs.

GreenEyes727, I am sorry you were ripped off that much money. My daughter who is now 39 years old just started to socialize more with new friends online through the video game sites. She has been communicating with a much younger guy who came to our state to meet her in person a year ago. The guy told her he will come back to visit her this coming November but I am not sure he will make it. My daughter feels she has had to put a lot of effort in keeping their long distance relationship alive. Then another strange man showed interest in talking to her. The problem is he is living with a girlfriend. The man told my daughter he owns a hotel (my guess is a small hotel) and gives money to his online friends who need help. He is in his late 30's. He told my daughter his girlfriend likes him more than he likes her and does not want to leave him and agrees to let him talk to other women while she still lives with him. My daughter told this man about the other guy who acted less interested which was why this second guy paid attention to her. He bought her a meal through doordash for her birthday and asked whether she wanted him to buy her another meal which she told him no. I told my daughter it sounds like an open relationship on the man's part. She still communicates with the first guy who is eleven years younger than she is and was the one who pursued her first. I feel this second guy just looks for women to play with. I guess it is a complicated situation when a rich man online told you he has a lot of money to throw away and wants to give you gifts. How my daughter attracted these men was she does what is called video game demo. Some of the men who watched the demo liked her voice. The ones who happened to see her photos became attracted to her (photos). This guy who owns a hotel and is loaded seems unreal but he sounds real. He sent her two pictures of him (alone, not with the girlfriend). My daughter is inexperienced with dating online and in person. Right now nothing harmful has happened. She accepted gifts from her younger guy. I feel God told me my daughter should not accept gifts from this second man. (The young guy does not know yet this second man popped up while he was acting like he wanted to back out). Well, we will see how things go.

I thought my appointment with the second car shop was today but it is tomorrow. I had to go out today and the rattling noise at the brake stopped after I drove around for awhile from one place to another. The noise stopped when I got close to getting home. The roads in front of our house and in the nearby areas have big holes all over the places so I didn't try to drive further to see whether the noise would come back. I will find out more when I drive to the car repair shop tomorrow. The dealership (where the car repair shop is at) is supposed to repair something on our car which is a recall from 2013. If they can look at the other problems without charging for looking at them, I will let them check our car; otherwise, I will go to smaller car repair shops to find lower prices, and if it can wait, I will wait. The other car repair shop that charged me $494 and got the car shake even more told me I should not wait long to get the struts replaced. They told me the tires can fall off.

I am exhausted but there are things that I feel thankful for today. I missplaced something and spent a long time today looking for it and felt I wouldn't find it and got very depressed and blamed myself. I couldn't stop looking at the same places again and again, then I found the thing and was very happy and relieved. Our second car key went dead a few months ago, and the car repair shop that I am going to take the car to tomorrow told me it costs over $300 to have them program a new one. Today I checked the key again, and it came back to life. I will find out whether it will stay alive just like I will find out whether the noise at the brakes will come back.

These new key fobs have batteries in them. Try opening it up and replacing the little battery. My dealership does it free. They don’t need to reprogram it.

I am about to take our car to the dealership. I don't know whether the key that was dead will still be alive. I will find out when I get to the car soon. Unfortunately, this dealership charges the insane amount. I bought two blank fobs? from amazon. The guy at the window at the dealership told me it may or may not work, and they charge a lot of money to cut the keys and program them.

I don't know whether the brake will still make noise and will find out when I drive the car in a little bit. I hope I can find a car repair shop that charges less for the struts. There must one somewhere. I have felt so burned out after getting a bad stomach flu less than two weeks ago. I hope you and everyone has a good day today.
