Maybe, my comment may give you an idea?
Thank him FOR MAKING ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD !
When I "am still".and THANK JESUS constantly everything for me runs smoother. HIS WORD tells us to be still and know HE is GOD . I don't think that means just to be still physically BUT mentally .It calms my mind and keeps me focused on JESUS. .
I need to NOT to focus on how big my problems are but on how BIG JESUS is!!!
He is OUR AMAZING CREATOR and I am nothing without HIM SO I must THANK HIM ALWAYS !!!!

That trust, that good habit of gratitude, grows our faith and our awareness of our dependence on God. Now when we look ahead we are more likely to seek God's help in making decisions. And certainly, when things are rough, we know He is there for us and we turn to Him again. Our faith grows still more.
What a lovely topic.
In Luke 17, Jesus healed 10 lepers. The 9 who were Israelites did not come back to thank him, but the 1 who was a Samaritan DID. He was Christ focused, and Jesus took notice. Thanking, is a sign that we are Christ focused and have changed from the INSIDE - not just in our outward circumstances
In Acts 16, Paul and Silas are thrown in prison - after being beaten severely. They are put in the worst part of the prison, but they spend the night praising God and singing hymns. This is a form of thankfulness and Faith that God is in control regardless of their circumstances. And the jail doors are opened and they have a chance to minister to the jailer of the prison. Paul KNEW (act of faith) that God wasn't done with him yet.
Chronicles 20: A mighty army is coming to to defeat Judah, and King Jehoshaphat prays to God. God answers him and says they will not have to fight at all - that He will deliver them. So as an act of Faith, he puts a choir IN FRONT of his army, to sing praises and thank the Lord for victory, and then marches towards his enemy....not with arms, but with praises of thanksgiving. The enemies are dispersed (wow, that is really cool)
Jesus feeding the multitudes: There are 3 accounts of this in the Gospels. In each case, Jesus looks down at the meager food supplies and the first thing he does is give THANKS to the Father. At that point, the food is multiplied.
In fact, I read that half of the public prayers uttered by Jesus were prayers of thanksgiving.
Anyway, thank you for your input.
