Some tornadoes passed through our town this past Thursday night. They were loud and scary and knocked out some power. Thank God that was all that they did. I cried when I saw the horrible sights of the ruins in Kentucky. I wonder whether tornadoes and floods will get worse or calm down. It is a terrifying time in which we live.

I'm ok -ish
Still kinda rough but my therapist kept telling me that self isolating was not good that I should come back to the support group.
I finally gave in a listened to her.

Wow. I'm glad you're ok. Most of my extended family lives in your county. They didn't say if they had any storm damage. There was some damage and power outages by East Lansing but I was ok. A coworker had a flooded basement and had to replace a drain pump for about $3000

Yes, we were very fortunate. The sounds of the tornadoes were thunderous and terrifying. We hid in the basement for about an hour. We are having a plumbing issue that is very serious right now but it was not from the tornadoes. The main spot of the water leaking is under the kitchen sink which causes us to lose a lot of water.

I am afraid to see the water bill that will cover till the end of this month and hope we can get help from the DHS (welfare) but I am not sure we can. We have water leaking through the broken vinyl floor covering in the kitchen and going down to the basement. I didn't want to mess with the water shutters under the kitchen sink because they felt stiff and will need a plier to do it, and I am afraid I can break the whole thing altogether. Please say prayers for us. I think the wooden frame where the sink (metal tubs) sit on is rotten.
