Do you work outside the home? If so, is there someone from work that you are comfortable with and that knows your situation that might be willing to go with you? Do you have any family close by that might help you or support you? Is it possible for you to call the pastor of the church and ask him/her to pray over you prior to you entering the doors?

Have you thought about calling the church and speaking with a pastor or Sunday School teacher to let them know you're interested? This might create a good connection for helping to make friends at the church.

I think this is BIG issue for many people, and not just those with social anxiety disorder. Going to a church when you don't know anyone can be a fearful thing.

If you cannot find anyone to go with you, why not just slip in and sit at the back. People are there to worship God. If they are friendly, then you will feel more comfortable. If they are not, perhaps you are in the wrong place.

However you overcome this, I know God is going to help you and really do a work in your life. I will pray you will find the answer and a church where you can feel loved and accepted and grow in your Christian walk.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO YOU GO TO CHURCH . WORSHIP GOD , LISTEN TO YOUR PASTORS. PRAY ASK GOD TO HELP YOU THROUGH IT BEFORE YOU GOING IN CHURCH. IF YOUR PASTOR PREACH THE GOD'S WORD AND LISTEN WHAT PASTOR SAY BOUT THE SCRIPTURE ABOUT YOU AND FOR OTHERS TOO. IF THAT WORKS IT IS IMPORTANT TO HEAR THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT JESUS. THAT'S WHAT COUNT. YES, SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE BUSY ..(.WE ALL NOT PERFECT) IT TAKES TIME OR WHATEVER IT IS. GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO GO AT LEAST ONE MONTH OR TWO.
GOD WILL SPEAKS TO YOU HEART. ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU. JUST FOCUS LISTEN TO YOUR PASTOR AND GIVE SOMEONE A SMILE IF THEY LOOK AT YOU.

I agree. The most important thing you can do to get over this is to go to church! If you don't feel safe at a church evaluate why? Is someone doing something to cause you to feel unsafe? Then find another church! If it's just your phobia, then the best way to overcome it is to do what you're afraid of.
