Still reading. I speed up or slow down depending on the passage. And, I didn't start over in January. Right now I'm reading near the beginning of Isaiah, with the minor prophets inserted based on when they prophesied. It's so tempting to switch from reading to studying. But, I don't really have the time to look up each prophecy and see if/ when it was (or hasn't yet been) fulfilled.

I have 2 questions if it is okay ?
1. I was asked by a non - Christian why God allowed people to be killed(Numbers 21 : GOD allowed Israelites to destroy Cannanites & Amorites) in the Old Testament .I was not sure how I should have answered .

2. In Numbers 26 : What is the importance of all these clans listed ?I can barely pronounce the names why do I need to memorize this ?

Luke 4 saddened me to know Jesus was rejected At Nazareth.His childhood friends family members and neighbors did not accept him.

I'm curious to know what you told them. I've been asked questions like that too.

Importance of the clans in Numbers 26? Let us know if you find out. I've always thought a lot of the names were outrageous.

Wow! Long names. I've often thought about the children when they were babies carrying around such names as they had: Nemuel, Shaul, Isacchar, etc. They must have been accepted Jewish names at this time, you think?
