Please pray for me. I just found out that a big chunk of our wooden fence (about 20' long) on one side of the backyard was taken down and thrown on our yard. The new owner of this house next door just remodelled the house and replaced the house roof and the detached garage's roof since last November. I just noticed yesterday that they destroyed our fence. I got hold of the cousin of the house owner and had different stories on each side (between me and her). Her claim is there was no standing fence when they bought the house and started to remodel it. The pieces of the fence are left on our backyard. The woman said whatever fence piece(s) that was there had already fallen over onto their territory and they threw it (them) on our yard. My daughter helped me took pictures of them, and all of them are there lying on the ground with twigs and branches. The woman said they should not have to clean up those pieces for us. My problem is they or the real estate person who listed the house prior to the present owner buying it knocked down our fence and threw it on our yard. I told the woman I am going to go to the police station on Monday to have the police write a report on this incident and will get a lawyer. We didn't look at our backyard between November and two days ago but I don't believe the fence collapsed on its own or got busted by the wind. I found the name of the previous realtor who listed this house in November and messaged her at her facebook to ask her whether she remembers whether the fence was there when she was taking care of cleaning up the house. I am waiting for her reply. The house was listed for only four days and was sold (back in November), and this new owner has it listed for sale after she had it remodelled. We lost our fence and are stuck with the big pile of garbage. Please pray for me that I will be able to sleep and can handle this trouble with calm and sanity. I feel very exhausted and achy right now. It is Sunday evening. No one should destroy our fence without telling us and asking whether we wanted them to destroy it. My guess is the fence was in the way of them replacing the roofs. Even when you see someone's fence broken, you have no right to tear the whole 20' long fence down and dumped it on the person's yard.
