A safe place for Christians who Love Jesus Christ to meet and ask for prayer and share scriptures from the bible. We value the posting of Christian music, poems, stories and also personal testimonies. Please let us know your needs, concerns and have some fun getting to know each other. We treat each other with respect.
I've been wondering how this verse translates to the church though. What would it mean for God to heal the land of the church?
The whole nation of Israel (at this point Israel and Judah had not split yet) was God's people back then, but now the faithful/true believers/obedient within the whole (international) Christian church is God's people (in addition to Israel, which has not been permanently cut off). So, what is the land of the church? I don't think it's our collective or individual countries.
I wonder if the way this applies to the church today is that God will heal the church, purify it, remove the tares from among the wheat, and regenerate the hearts of those unfaithful within the congregations.
I'm wondering what other people think? Anyone?
In any case, it's still Biblical to pray for our nation, other nations, and the church, and really everyone else. So, thanks for the reminder to pray.
But he has no money for vets, the disabled and seniors. He gave $2000 a month to kids who then quit their jobs.
I know the Bible is clear in Romans 13 that we are to pray for our leaders. Easy to do when you have a believer for a leader, instead of a communist Muslim.
I can't even pray for Canada. The fabric of our nation has been ripped apart.
I know when things get bad, that is when we need to take more time to pray for our country and our leaders. The US made huge strides in restoring Christianity, and in social issues like abortion. I know that is because God's people are praying for the USA.
So, I have a very bad attitude. I need to pray God will give me the vision to begin to pray for Canada. Thanks for bringing up the topic.
