Thanks, hasty, for your prayers. There has been progress in the home repair situation but the work has not started yet. The contractor is waiting for approval of payment to move stuffs off the damaged areas. I was told that should be settled around the end of this week. My anxiety is about the part of us most likely having to move out of the house while the repairs are being done. We should be able to stay in the house when they remove the stuffs off the damaged areas.

Thank you for remembering us and praying for us. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers as well. I hope things are going well for both of you. I will let everyone know the next updates on our home repair situation.

If there is mold, Lavender, you must not stay in the house. The noise and the release of mold spores as they do mold remediation or pulling boards off the walls, etc is not good for our health. We end up breathing the mold spores and the dust from the demolition and moving boxes, furniture. Your repair job sounds like a big thing especially if they find mold which can happen from the tree limb damaged areas.

So please understand that moving out of the house temporarily is for your health and safety.

I did not understand this and the owner of the mold remediation company we used minimized things to me but the real workers were honest and so we had to get out within an hour. Not a happy anxiety free mistake of ours. They had to rip a ton of sheetrock off and the noise and the mess was not something we could have lived in the house for. We had to get out immediately as they started the work and I felt so dumb. Every other day we went back in the evening and were just shocked at the mess and what had to be done to our house. The extent of the mold and the remediation. I mean most of the wall in our living room, garage, our laundry closet, just a huge upheaval but they did an excellent job. Then we had to get back in and try to find someone to put up the sheetrock in a hard, cold spell, and the house was freezing cold. Was way too stressful so I am praying for your good health and less anxiety.

Thank you for sharing your experience of having to stay away from your house during the repair (cleaning). I have not packed up anything to prepare for the moving and have not had energy to go out to wash clothes in the laundromat. Not being used to being at a different place makes me nervous and uncomfortable. I am having problem with my physical energy right now and am afraid to carry heavy stuffs. It will be nice to have the stuffs in the kitchen and two rooms upstairs removed. The contractor guy is supposed to take some of our stuffs from the rooms and kitchen to put in a storage and move them back after the repairs are over. The plan is I can throw away some junk and keep some. I should get my mind/brain prepared for moving and try to think of it as us going on a vacation. The ideal will be for us to be able to clear the stuffs in the basement out so we will have space in the basement to put things on the first floor that we want to keep instead of dragging them to the storage and dragging them back.

The contractor told me the insurance won't cover moving (throwing) things in the basement out since nothing in the basement is damaged. They are in the process of approving the payment of removing the stuffs that will go to the storage. Clearing things in the basement will be expensive (to pay for it ourselves) since it will involve heavy lifting and a lot of junk to be dragged out. I don't feel we can clear stuffs in the basement this time unless I can pay the contractor. I will worry about clearing the basement another time. One important thing is we have to keep us from being injured. Staying in a different place with broken bones will be unbearable.
