I had a rough close-to-death type of experience today. The car repair shop and I had a miscommunication. I meant to wait in the shop while they looked at and repaired the car but they thought I was going to just drop off the car and leave, and they said they were busy and gave me another appointment to go back this Friday. The car seemed to run fine so instead of going straight home, I stopped at a few places. As it turned out, it started to choke and jerk while I was on a quiet highway and it died completely in the middle of a busy business street. Luckily, it happened at the part where people used to turn to the other side of the street. Three young men helped push the car into the parking lot of Burger King where I was intending to go into, and I called AAA for towing. It was a big mistake for me to take that car to drive after it choked and jerked on and off for many days. I wouldn't blame God or anyone but myself if something very bad were to happen, and I thank God for protecting me from a possible tragedy. I, however, would not have taken the car to the shop if I knew they expected me to drop it off and leave. My mistake was I didn't come straight home.  This is a scary lesson for me. I prayed for God's protection before I left the house with this car, and I know He protected me. The car was towed to the same shop, and the towing guy dropped me off at home.
