I went out to check my snail mail and throw a few bags of garbage in the trash can and was greeted by my new neighbors, husband and wife and a sister. They offered to clean up our backyard for us for no charge and will put up a fence on the same part where our old fence got destroyed since they have three dogs and want the dogs to play in their backyard. Our old nextdoor neighbors are nice people but stayed to themselves. They would say hi and smile and sometimes say a few words but never wanted to get closer to us. We didn't have problem with them. It sounds like this couple, our new neighbors, don't have kids. They look to be around thirty-five or younger and previously lived in a nice expensive good area near our town. Our area is very bad but people on our block are quiet. Some bad person just stole our trash can (the second can that we paid $69 per year for it). I am still waiting for the replacement from the garbage pickup company. Anyway, I am excited about our new neighbors. Now that I thought about it, I think the neighbors want to help clean up our backyard so in case their dogs run into our yard, they will have more space to run around in. Their backyard is very small. They told me they will be moving in in the next few weeks. We may not start our home repair for another few weeks so it is a good timing. They will help keep thieves away from our property while we are gone. I feel comforted about these new neighbors. I mean I feel God has comforted me and blesses us with a connection with people.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

We have a weird awful woman on one side who put her fence 8 inches into her property. We decided her wooden fence is in bad shape and rats chewed up so we built a totally new fence around our property line. The tree guy took our survey and found the discrepancy which we didn't want.
And she has foster dogs that she allows one to bark all day in the house and out in the backyard. I feel this is bad for the dogs.
The structural engineer guy and the guy who came to open the doors upstairs came today. The door opener guy was able to get the doors opened without destroying them, and he happens to be a contractor and also can take care of the content (putting them away and bringing them back). I told him I want him to do the house repair for us. He said the repair will take 3-5 months and that there are places that will allow four animals. We have eight so I hope it can work out. I feel much better after talking to him about ways to prevent our stuffs from being stolen and not having to move them out (locking them in rooms) and putting some in storage.
The contractor said he wants to get the work done before winter so he hopes he can get the insurance to move fast. Living in a different place for 3-5 months with eight cats will be an interesting experience for us. I would think a hotel won't work well with eight cats. Thank you for your prayers. I hope everyone has a good day today.
I went to talk to the woman in the city about the rest of the repairs (putting electrical outlets for washer and dryer in the basement and replacing vinyl covering on the kitchen floor and cleaning up the basement ceiling area where water went through. She told me these repairs can be done while our house is being repaired. I don't know whether she will be able (or will) speed up. If we don't have our landline phone number when we stay in another place, it will be difficult for the city's repair people to get hold of us since we don't have our cell phone turn on unless we need to use it to call out. I guess we have to check our cell phone everyday or transfer the landline phone with the same number. I try not to think too much about it. Or I can drive the woman in the city crazy by calling her often. If she can get it going before we have to move out, it will be better but I doubt it.
