We treat each other with respect.
Matthew 6:25
Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?
Matthew 6:27
And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?
Matthew 6:28
And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Matthew 6:31
Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Matthew 6:34
Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
God has given us freewill, to expect us not to worry as humans is unrealistic. to say that to be anxious or to worry is an insult to God is to saying all your fellow christians are insulting God. this i dont agree with. God is a loving God, He is not insulted by what we do, He forgives us, guides us, helps carry our burdens and gives us strength. yes, we are truly blessed, GOD IS LOVE. never forget that.
I do know that sometimes there is anxiety which is like worrying about something... bills or kids or whatever... but there is also a form of anxiety which is more of a biochemical issue, where there isn't a particular pressing issue or concern, but just this overwhelming wash of generalized anxiety. I'm familiar with both types of anxiety from first hand experience.
In both cases we can do things which feed the anxiety, and we can also do things which ease it. I have found that the only thing which eases it for me, whether it is a legitimate worldly concern, or a general biochemical imbalance, is pressing into God. I had an attempted anxiety attack several days ago which never came to fully manifesting because when I sensed it coming, I identified it, and I went into full on spiritual war against it. It took about 45 minutes of battle, but God stayed with me through it. If I had succumbed to it, it would have consumed me, and that would have been satans plan... for it to draw me out of fellowship with God. Feeling anxiety isn't the same as feeding anxiety. Its the feeding of it which I believe reflects forgetfulness of who God is. Now don't get me wrong, anyone can forget during temporary moments of self consumption. Its just a matter of keeping the goal to recognize when it happens so that we can quickly press back into our Source.
Gods word tells us that "with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE"
where does the word CANT fit into that?
we can help it.
we can't necessarily stop the thoughts from coming, but we CAN help it if we feed them or rebuke them.
Its not about me.
Its about what GOD can do.
And we limit what God can do in and through us when we say we CAN'T.
I know from experience. I spent most of my life saying "I can't"
and still today, without God, I can't.
The power of life and death in the tongue. Who is it that wants us to say we can't? God or satan?
If we say we can't, we are right.
If we say WITH GOD, all things are possible, we are also right.
These are not my ideas. I'm just the messenger. I don't mean to offend anyone with it. But I also will not be ashamed of the gospel.
I share my testimony because of what I have experienced. Not to my glory, but to HIS.
You have a choice to make at every moment. Right now, a person can choose to be offended because of what I have said, or can choose to inquire as to what it is that I have done to receive what God has given me. I'm not so special that He gives it to me. I'm not proud of myself for what He has shown me. I'm here to share it so that others can benefit from it. I don't take the credit. What I say is supported by the truth of His word. For a long long time I didn't know how to receive the peace that God wanted to give me. And I'm here because I know that He hasn't reserved it for me. He wants every one of His children to have it. I won't be ashamed of what God has done in my life to glorify Himself. It has nothing to do with me. I'm just here to share it for those who want to benefit from putting it into action for themselves.
