I had Thanksgiving by myself. I didn’t feel like driving to Muskegon to my aunt’s and I wasn’t up for seeing my cousin in Grand Rapids. One of my cousins said he would fly me out to MN But air travel this time of year doesn’t sound like a fun time. I didn’t want the guy I’ve been seeing to know I was all alone over the holidays. Pray for me that I don’t lie, to try to impress, when all the people from work and others ask if I had a great holiday

Our Thanksgiving was one of the worst. My daughter and I were very tired and didn't have energy to order takeout to make up with not having turkey. I just waited for the day to pass. My daughter's friend in Holland invited us to her house but I didn't feel well to drive forty minutes on the fast lanes and was worried the snow might come on the day. We did order takeout from IHOP the next day.

I hope your new date goes well. My daughter told me it is difficult for people to find dates these days. I was surprised and happy she found someone who she communicates with long distance. They saw each other in person four months ago and have been keeping in touch almost everyday through the chat and playing video games.

I was hoping something would happen that would help my daughter not to end up living in a group home when my husband and I are gone. This young man she met is a miracle and surprise. He is Asian American and much younger than her, very young that it can be a concern. I told him our life is not a perfect one and there are things that can cause his relationship with my daughter to not work out. I think that threw him off a little bit but they both are holding on to their new relationship. He is kind of like a very well-rounded type of person with very little drama in life.

My daughter will be taking a few more classes at MCC which will take at least two more years because she won't be able to do more than two classes in a semester. The young man plans to come back to visit her again around next July when he has his vacation from work. I have a serious house clearing and cleaning up to do so he will have a chair to sit in. He saw inside our house and didn't give up which was a miracle.

I finally found a refrigerator from Lowe's online that can fit through our doors and scheduled for it to be delivered on December 30 which should give me enough time to clear the paths for it to go through. This new refrigerator was supposed to happen four months ago but I have not been well with body aches and pains and bad ankle and couldn't get the paths cleared out.

Two things that God did for us to help solve our money problem were the new home insurance and car insurance, which are much less than we had before. We still owe a lot on the car but should be able to make payments on it.

I hope you find strength and peace in your everyday living and find someone who is a good match for you. I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you and everyone have a good day today.

I pray God continue to bless you, husband and daughter. I worked in the MCC president’s office around 2004. I was in a bad accident in August of this year so I understand having a hefty car payment with pricey insurance. We must continue to encourage one another. Sadly, I have found even some of my family members are too competitive and selfish. Thank God for His never ending love.

I found an air pump machine at a gas station and put air in the two front tires. If they go flat again, I will go back to the Ginman Tire to have the tires fixed. I was told Walmart has that service too.

The cable company raised our bill to $258. I called them just to be told the other option available was $272 so I changed to basic channels only and pay $190. The problem with these basic channels is they don't have regular news which is what my husband watches. We used to pay $166 per month.

I am taking my daughter to MCC for her class today. After this one, she has two more left. It is supposed to snow tomorrow and the day after. I pray God keeps you safe in driving.

Too bad you can’t get an antenna for regular tv and stream your news via the internet through xumo or tubi.

My grandmother’s sister died today. She was 78. If there is a memorial I may visit Muskegon soon. I pray the service won’t conflict with my work schedule bc some of the people I work with aren’t very nice.

I am sorry about the death in your family. If you come to Muskegon, I hope you have a good visit with your family.

Our cable bill returned to a horrible price, from 190 to $247 because the $190 does not have the news channels. I called them three times from Sunday to yesterday, not sure whether I should try again today to see whether one of the operators will find a lower price. Every time I called them, the person would give me higher prices. My husband is the only one in the house that watches TV. I hope I will find a cheaper way to have TV.

Update on the cable bill.

I called the cable company two more times today because my husband said he was unhappy with the disappearance of the TV Land channel. I went in circles again. The first live agent told me it would cost $263 per month to have the TV Land added on (from $247 to $263), and there would be only 40 channels. I went in one more round of circle to try to get a better deal and thank God for answering my prayer, I got the deal of $236 with 135 channels. It is still high but appears to be the best I could get. I am done calling them now.

Thanks for your prayers. The service is next Saturday so I’m going to try and go weather permitting. I really would try antenna if possible. I need to try and get my budget back in line. I’m excited about 2024 tax season praying for a decent refund Lord willing. Maybe pay down debt.

I don't know what kind of news channel(s) they have with antenna. Something strange that happened about the price of the cable that we have to pay was when we were at the $247 per month with about 25 channels and my husband said we didn't have TV Land, we actually have it and didn't know. I called the cable company back to add it on, and they ended up giving us 125 channels with $239 per month package. So my husband's misunderstanding led to the TV has a hundred channels more. Unfortunately, my husband has to have TV, and I have to have internet or we will go insane. This latest price is supposed to stay the same for two years. We used to get $30 discount through the government program but the program no longer exists. I hope you have a good rested and warm weekend.
