I Could really use some support. This is a bit frightening to share this here because I know sometimes people who don’t struggle with mental health problems don’t really understand it. But I trust you will be compassionate towards me, as we are all followers of Jesus here. I Was curious, does anyone on this forum struggle with a mental health condition? I don’t think groups specified for Christians with mental health conditions are very active and I’m looking for a fellow Christian who has been through these challenges. If you don’t, could you maybe pray over me? I struggle through each day because of PTSD and OCD and could just use some support. TIA <3

He and his 15 yr old sister have on their own decision stopped going to their dads because he and his household is so toxic.My 15 yr old and myself feel like we have to tip toe around my son who is 17. The very first founder of this group was a member of the Depression Group. There were a lot of Christians, and other members were getting mad at them for talking about God, and how he was helping them. So, he started this group!
So, I would hope and pray no one would be nasty to you. But, I do understand there is a terrible stigma with mental illness for some people. But I have not seen it in this group!
I have had PTSD and anxiety in the past. Plus, my mother suffers from terrible anxiety, so I do have a good understanding. Right now, I will suggest that you read the psalms! That helped me more than any meds or counseling. And do read the Bible daily. God will meet you between the pages. I hope we can get to know you better.
