I've never really liked walking across bridges. Once when I had to God reminded me to think of myself as walking along in His hands. It was easier that way, but I still didn't love it.

Brighte I used to believe what you say however it is not scripture and God corrected me.

I do not worship a God i can make number or list as 1 or 1 million.

I worship a God who is I am who I am, and I am his. He is the Alpha and Omega, begging and end, he created me and all we know.

I hear this error even coming out of amazing Godly men like Charles Stanley who often said, Make God first in your life. Put God first in your life.

The trouble with these things is they are blasphemy. It is not my life. I was bought at a price, there fore I honor God with my body. also my God is spirit and desires worshippers who worship in spirit and in truth, so I offer my body to God as a living and sacrifice, holy and pleasing to our God, this is our spiritual act of worship. Doing this empowers me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind so i can test and approve what our God's will is. And this is the will of our God, God desires all to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. God desires me to love others as God loves me in power and strength not in flesh or fraility. I can do all things through my God who is my power.

I do not worship a God you can make number one or anyone an put on a list I worship the God who created me, who formed me and knew me before I entered my mothers womb. I worship our creator whom i can not make number one or one thousand though my God is all things to me. You are in God. Brighie. You love our God. You worship our God with me. You praise our God. Heights can not seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our lord, neigher heights nor depths nor powers, remember.

Please prayerfully consider setting aside sayings like" put God number one or make God number one" Our God is "I am who I am" and we are HIS. My God is my fortress and I am his protected child within the his fortress walls I live and breath and love and have my being. My God is my redeemer and I am his redeemed. My God is my strength and I am his powerful child. Right? Let the praises of our God continually be in our mouth, selah, Yes God we praise you our God. Yes God we thank you for all things our God. Yes God we worship you and love to sing your praises all day long. Yes God Yes God Yes God Yes God yes God yes!!! We obey you to express our deepest love for you our God. We rrefuse tpo number you or make you, because we worship a God who made us, and we couldnt make him a number and would never dare reduce or magnificant loving almight creator loving redeeming all powerful God to some numeral we can comprehend because My God does not fit into my mind but fits into my spirit and dwells within me as I dwell within HIm.

Joey, this is utter nonsense. It is theologically wrong, too! The 10 commandments tell us to worship God, because he is sovereign Lord of all. You seem to reduce God to what he can do for you. Very arrogant and wrong.

I loved this post it reminded me of dozens of verses.

"Cast your cares upon the lord and he will sustain you, he will never let the righteous fall."

"I am he who will sustain you, I have made you and I will carry you and I will rescue you and sustain you"

It makes me think of, the sustenance I feel listening to the word, and listening to praise music, and reminds me of when Jesus spoke eat my body and drink my blood, these are my sustenance, the manna from heaven that is our Lord and Savior.

It also makes me think of all the rest that God is for us. God is our Defender and our Strength. God is our shield and our comfort. God is our redeemer and our way. God is our life and our hope. God is the God of our salvation. he is a light unto our path and a guide to our feet to keep us going his way. God is our truth, God is our love, God is our grace, God is our God.

It reminds me also of a conversation I had with God, it went like this;

God asked me his name. I replied, God my God, your name is God. God said, no beloved, that is my title, Speak my name. I spoke, and replied God my God the first name I can think of is you are "I am who I am." It is what you called yourself when Moses asked you who he should say sent him. as you might imagine, that stuck with me. I will say though, Provider is one of the names of our God, and I am provided for. I didn't think of sustained, Or sustenance, but God is also this, God sustains us. and we are sustained.

I am also afraid of heights and narrow bridges. I don't know when it started, I think around the time I had an inner ear infection, and it wrecked my balance. Now, if there are handrails, I am no more likely to fall whether my balance is good or bad. I also am terrified of heights on TV. And I am certainly not going to fall on TV.

I think I just have another little challenge God has given me to overcome.

"“A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”" John 16:32-33

Interesting, during COVID-19 to read this verse. We are scattered and each to his own home. That sure sounds like today. Yet, Jesus clearly says we are not alone. and that Jesus has overcome the world.

I do believe that we are overcomers through Christ. Does that mean next time I go up to the rail line that has been repurposed as a walking/riding trail, I won't be afraid of the many trestles, which bridge over deep chasms? Well, I know I will make myself cross with the help of God. And maybe I will be less afraid than last time. That time, I went through a black tunnel. I have no balance if I cannot see. And sure enough, I fell quite hard in that tunnel. Yet I was more afraid of the height of the trestles than the blackness of the tunnels.

So, my fears were irrational. But I had family and friends helping me. And, God was there. When I got back to my vehicle, the blood was running freely down my leg. Two young doctors were in the parking lot, and came over with a first aid kit, and washed the gouge, and put antibiotics on it and wrapped it out.

Truly, God was looking after me that day! And I did overcome those trestles, even if I have to pray for a new plan for that dark tunnel. God is good! Hallelujah!

I used to be terrified of water. I know where it came from now, but 20 years ago, God removed that fear, and others that I didn't even know I had. I was healed so purely and perfectly from so much that i was still a year later finding ways I was healed that I didn't even know I was wounded.

Now the only fear I have is holy and Godly and it is, fear of God's wrath. This is not a fear for myself, frankly I deserve hell and death and eternal separation from God. I consider myself unworthy, not only of God or God's love, but even unworthy of washing the feet of the children of God, or even washing the feet of the wicked. I am not worthy of even these.

However, the fear I have of God's wrath is a fear that motivates me to help others in any way I can to be saved, and come to a knowledge of the truth that is the love of our God revealed in the person and sacrifice of Jesus christ our Lord and savior.
