ENTERING INTO HIS REST
Today I believe that it is in the perfect will of God that you read some verses of the fourth chapter of Hebrews.
God wants us all to see in this chapter that we must not come short of that blessed rest. I am not speaking about the rest there is through being saved, although that is a very blessed rest. I am not speaking about the rest we have in the body when the pain stops, nor of the rest when sanctification has worked in a wonderful way BY THE BLOOD AND WE HAVE NO SIN.
But God wants me to speak about the rest where you cease from your own works, and where the Holy Spirit begins to work in you and where you know that you are not your own, but absolutely possessed by God.
Beloved, I ask you to diligently follow me on these lines because there are many people who are at unrest. I believe that God can bring us into a place of rest this day where we will cease from our own works, where we will cease from our own planning, where we will cease from our own human individuality, which so interferes with God's power within us. God wants to fill our body with Himself - yes, to fill our body so full of Himself, THAT WE ARE NOT. It is then that God takes us into His plan, His pavilion, HIs wisdom, and the government shall be upon HIs shoulders.
