Well, Its a beautiful sunny day here and I am at home today doing some work around the house.

I really enjoy praying for people as it helps me to feel like I am helping God and others and I believe its good to get our minds on helping others, because in doing so we advance the kingdom.. Now if the Lord answers your prayer, please tell someone about it with tremendous gratitude!

I will be so happy to pray for you.

Thank you kathilee. Yes I do have a bible that I've been reading. Mostly Psalms to start. Can you or anyone here point me to passages specifically about knowing the difference between God's will rather than my own (solely my own) and how to know this so that I know how to act in a certain situation? I am seeking God's will to be known to me and I have asked for this so I know what to do. If my faith were stronger, I might not have so much doubt.

TO hmgm,
If you begin by reading the Gospels of Jesus, that would be the best place to start ,knowing the word of Jesus. When you have His living word in your heart then you will be able to discern His will for you. I prefer to start in Matthew myself, but many people recommend John.

@hmgm, I did a bible study with the womens ministry over a year ago on discerning the voice of God. We used a study put together by Priscilla Shirer. She also has a book out with that title and I think someone has uploaded some of her videos to the internet on the subject. Just google Discerning the voice of God Priscilla Shirer and see what comes up.

Thank you so much kathilee and Misred for your suggestions, warm welcome and prayers! I did read all of John on Wednesday. I had never read the entire chapter before so it was much more cohesive this time. I feel my faith getting stronger, slowly but surely.

I'm asking for prayer to have the motivation to keep going, even though specific things I have prayed for have not come to pass. Illness takes up so much of my life now, and I need healing so I can do what God wants me to do. I ask...I pray..I believe...now I'm ready to receive. Anyone out there willing to believe with me?
