Reading the Bible daily is very peaceful.

I have 3 kids. 24. 17. 15. My 17 yr old has become super defiant. He and his 15 yr old sister have on their own decision stopped going to their dads because he and his household is so toxic.My 15 yr old and myself feel like we have to tip toe around my son who is 17. And physically towers over us and out weighs us. He has become emotionally abusive and on the verge of becoming physically...
Right now I'm reading about jealousy. (Because it occurred to me that I might have a problem with that.) I'm seeing that God is a jealous God because as the Creator of all that is He has the exclusive right to be worshipped. (That's basically it so far, it's only my second day on this). When I finish this topic I will move on to another, (but not with the goal of reading through.). I'm not sure what all of my topics I'll be yet.
Anyway, I wish you well on your reading through. I've read through 3 or more times and always find something of value in every section. I'm sure you will too. God bless your journey and your efforts, and I hope others will join you.

I have been doing the Charles Stanley Daily Study Bible Plan .I recently purchased his book .
I am at Genesis 10,Psalms3,Proverbs 2 ,Matthew 4 .
I preferred reading it as you suggested last year but I'll try this one .

I have changed my plan some years. I read 3 chapters of the NT for a few years. It gave more context, plus you end up reading the NT 3 times in a year. I've also done the chronological reading plan, which was such a great experience, although sometimes hard to do.
