These are the time's when I have to think about how our Troops must feel being so far away from Home all alone not only on their Birthdays or Thanksgiving or what ever the case may be their gone on the Day we Celebrate our Lords Birth That is hard for anyone.

When I think about it like that the things that I think stress me out are nothing to what they are going through and then I am Thankful for all I have no matter how bad it may seem and this is the time to give thanks to the Lord for there are so many out there that don't have what I or many of us have.

I will be Praying for You Sister God Bless You with His Peace and Joy as we come to Celebrate His Birthday.

i know how you feel somewhat but for different reasons..i just want it to be over with too...no one seems to remember what we're realy celebrating...its all about money

When I think about what a big deal the birth of Jesus is I get more into the preparations for this huge celebration. His birth should be a big deal - minus the stress of all of the "stuff" we put on ourselves. Simple is beautiful. And our families would be better off for it. So would we.

God bless and fill yourself up with Him instead of all of the extra things we think we have to do. I struggle with the balance too but am getter better at it bit by bit.

Your not a bad christian, mother, or wife....you're only human and like most of us right now, you have too much on your plate.....some days, I don;t know whether I am coming or going....we put so much pressure on ourselves....I honestly think people should stop watching these bogus holiday TV shows that try to tell us how everything should be around this time of year. We are being not-so-subtley brainwashed into thinking that we have to do all these things..or else...or else what?, I say....all we really need to do is slow down and love the people around us...and more importantly, give thanks to God for being willing to send us His son....what more can we want or ask for?

Its easy to lose focus on the CHRIST in Christmas cuz the Society we are in is so busy pushing commercial greed on us with relentless TV/radio ads & many "holiday" themed events...notice how Haunehkah (sp?) is also a holy observance but is not ever dragged into commercial exploitation? This shows how Christians are expected to allow our own holy season to be exploited for commercial gain- just sickens me sometimes. Don't let your joy in Christ's birth get lost in the fury of holiday activities...Celibrate in your heart the greatest marvel of human history, & the joy of knowing our true Master & King is soon returning for us!

i guess we have to remember we live in a world where a lot of people serve a false god...namely money..thats not the God we serve. I get sick and sometimes angry at how pushy the media is and how money hungry they are...

It's such a blessing to read all these encouraging message from the DS friends. Thank you. I survived Christmas, but the after affects are still lingering. I'll try harder next time to try and not get pushed into the commercial nightmare the world pushes on Christmas. Blessing to all of you my dear friends.
