Standing Before The King: Acts 26: 1-2
OLDBIKER
This Chapter in Acts is the story of the Apostle Paul's defense in front of King Agrippa, for the charges that had been made against him. He had been before Felix the Govenor and Festus the Procurator and jailed to satisfy his accusers.
There are 3 Basic things that Paul said as he was STANDING BEFORE THE KING.
Paul said Jesus changed the destination of my soul:( Vs 3-15)
Paul was a religious man. He was a Pharisee who dealt in keeping of the Law. He had persecuted Christians everywhere he found them and had them placed in prison. He rejoiced and was glad when they were executed. He thought he was doing God a favor and would gain favor with God for his actions.
Then came the Damascus road experience , A bright light blinded him and he heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him. Paul asked Lord, who are you" and Jesus said "I am Jesus of Nazareth that you persecuteth. In Acts Chpt. 9 vs 6, Paul ask Jesus and said "What would you have me to do"?
Secondly, Paul said that Jesus changed the direction of my life. (vs 16-25)
Paul was called to a full time servant of Jesus Christ. Vs-16. Paul was sent to open the eyes of the spiritually blind. (Religionists) Paul was sent to release people from the grasp of Satan and place them under the Grace of God. Paul preached to jailers, soldiers, Jews, gentiles, kings, Govenors, and anyone else that would listen to the message of Christ's salvation through His shed blood at Calvary.
Third, Paul said "Jesus changed the desires of my Heart". (Vs, 26-29)
Paul (as Saul of Tarsus) had tried to do away with Christianity completely now, Paul was preaching their message and giving his testimony wherever he went. Paul taught of God's mercy, and Grace more than any other Apostle. Paul even wanted King Agrippa to be saved. What about you, do you try to get others saved? Do you witness to others about God's provision of Salvation through Jesus? Modern Religionist's today, like the Scribes and Pharisees of Paul's time, try to add stipulations and legalistic dos and don'ts to Salvation. Jesus paid the Price for our sin. We must accept Him as Lord and Savior and trust Him to keep His promise of Salvation. When Paul was struck down by the light he asked, "Lord , what would you have me to do"? When the thief on the cross cried out to Jesus, he said" Lord, remember me, when thou comest into thy Kingdom. When the Phillipian jailer ran in to the cell area where Paul and Silas were, he asked, "What must I do to be saved"? You see Salvation comes from talking to the Lord Jesus Christ on a Personal level. Have you asked Jesus to forgive you, to come into your heart and live through you and to save your soul?
I hope and pray you have. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and, the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
May God bless this message and all those who read it.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

thank you for this message my friend.
