Welcome to our church! We are glad you have chosen to join us. Please read the important guidelines for the group first.
There are many trials in Life. Many losses along this road of life. We lose friends, we lose loved ones. Sometimes, this losses are due to some act or something said or misunderstood. Sometimes these losses are due to the death of a loved one.
Jesus said in the above verses. "Let not your hearts be troubled, Ye believe in God, believe also in me"
I. We have a Person to believe in:
Jesus did many wonderous and miraculous works, while in His earthly ministry. He raised the dead, made the deaf to hear, and the lepers cleansed. He calmed the winds and the sea as well as feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes. He had healing in His words, discernment in His thoughts and compassion in His heart. He showed true love to the masses. He changed lives and touched all areas of social standing, from fisherman, tax collectors, to Roman soldiers and the people of Samaria.
Jesus said He would give us His peace, not the peace that the world gives.
II. We have the Promise of the Way:
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man, cometh unto the Father, but, by me.
People today try many ways to attain acceptance into Heaven.
They do good deeds, they get baptized, they give to all kinds of charitable organizations. Some do without and they submit themselves to rituals, ceremonies and some, even crucify themselves. They believe by enduring this pain and suffering, that it merits them acceptable to God.
Doing good works, going to church, loving your fellowman are all good qualities and personally, I feel all Christians should do these things but, these things alone will not merit your acceptance to God.
We must admit that we are sinners. that we can not save ourselves, that we need a Savior who atoned for our sins thereby making us acceptable when we accept His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. Our salvation is not in a church, a denomination or anything else, except through Christ Himself.
III. We have a promise of a Prepared Place::
Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you". He is preparing a place for all those who put their faith and trust in Him. We can not imagine what Heaven is truly like. We have a glimpse of what Heaven looks like, from the Apostle John when he wrote of the Jasper walls, the gates of pearl and the streets as if they were gold.
He wrote of all the precious stones and the foundations of Heaven yet, we only grasp a glimpse of what it truly must be like.
There was a song written years ago entitled "Heaven for Me". Some of the lyrics of that song are as follows:
"Heaven for me, Heaven for me, Jesus will be, what makes Heaven for me.
It's beauty and wonders, I long for to see but, Jesus will be, what makes Heaven for me."
We only go to Heaven, through and by Christ. There is no other way. Jesus did not say "I am a way" as if to project there were other ways. He said I AM THE WAY.

THANK YOU PEEWEE FOR THIS GREAT MESSAGE. I REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR THIS RIGHT NOW. I WILL BE REREADING THIS ONE SEVERAL TIMES OVER. ITS LIKE I ALREADY KNOW IT BUT I NEED TO BE REMINDED I AM NOT ALONE....I HAVE JESUS!!!!!
