Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder. It is commonly due to impaction (sticking) of a gallstone within the neck of the gall bladder, leading to inspissation of bile, bile stasis, and infection by gut organisms. Cholecystitis may be a cause of right upper quadrant pain. In severe cases, the gall bladder can rupture and form an abscess.

I had my first acute Gallbladder attack about three weeks ago. I had sharp back pain around the shoulders, then pain under the right rib cage. It felt like my stomach had hardened into a steel shell and gas bloating was going to burst through. The pain was unbelievable. That lasted about four hours, I vomited once. It was late at night and after that I fell asleep. I woke the next day not feeling great but I thought I had food poisoning.
Yesterday about noon I felt that same back pain. I went home thinking I knew it was gong to be the same. It wasn't. I started eating applesauce, flax seed tea and beets. I had the hardening feeling and the vomitus, I vomited about three times before I decided I should go to the emergency room.
Once there they gave me Demerol and an anti nausea medicine, x-rayed me , watched me for about an hour and sent me home. I have a prescription for Percocet and the anti nausea medicine. I took two Percocet and two anti nausea and felt better the next morning. Today I had coffee, low fat yogurt with raspberries and granola.
What do I do know? I do not have insurance and I do not have extra money to be spending on doctor's visits. I think I need to know if I have gallstones and if I can pass them. An ultrasound will do that but I just cannot walk into a clinic and get one, I have to get a referral, which means another doctor's visit and more money.
Any advice would be appreciated, can I just change my diet and be done with this?

The first flush, stones are pretty big, some emerald green, some are brown. Size of peanuts. I cut them open, and it is all green inside with a layer of brown cholesterol coating. The second flush 3 months later, they look undefined small green mushy jello.
Feel so good after the stones are flushed out. Wished I had done this earlier.
