I was paranoid that my half brother would call me and try to get me to call our dad because he has a good relationship with him. I think that since he didnt he realizes that it bugs me when he tries to mend us.
It was an awesome day though sat and watched ANTM all day long LOL until my husband came home.
i totally understand what you mean about your half brother....
my older bro was "friends" with dad for some years. that's because one day years ago when i was in 2nd grade, dad came over to the US and took my bro away from us. he wouldn't bring him back so we left to go over seas to get him. anyways... for the couple years he was "missing" dad had been brainwashing him all that time.
as a result for years later he was always "friends" with him.... till one day recently he realized how much dad is a smuck. i was relieved to hear it cuz it had been uh.... hmm.. let's see, he took him away fro us back in 89 i think. so it took THAT long for him to get his mind straight, and it's 2009 now....wow.
but anyways... he used to pull that tactic on us... like he would talk about how he got an email from dad and so on and that we should tak to him yada yada.... whatever. he LEFT us back in 89 and that's all there was to it. not to mention the fact that he took my older bro away from us! how can i forgive??
anyways.... it's old news now and i'm glad my bro is out of that mind set. i hope that your half bro can be "friends" with you and realize that you are cool. and best of all, that you don't need that "father" dude in your life.
GOD I hate how my dad can get me all worked up so many years after I gave up on him.
But I took care of my mommapappa for fathers day and she was very very happy.
it's sad that your dad don't know anything about his grand kids...
i mean grand parents are supposed to play a strong role in sharing "wisdom", yu know... well at least in plenty other cultures, it is the elders duty to pass on wisdom and guidance to the younger generations.
but i guess that don't really exist here in the the US... and many other cultures seem to abandoning it as well. ...sad.
i wish man kind could correct it's path... then maybe there wouldn't be so many hurting souls on this planet.
