i was an only child when my dad cheated, i mean he cheated again when my little brother was born but what does an infant know?
just seeing him hold my little brother and pretend to care about our family while doing all those disgusting things on the side made me hate him forever. i've never forgiven him and i never will.
did you ever tell your mom that it angered you? or where you silent about you're feelings too?
but still years later, every now and then i hear her talk about dad and how she wishes things were different and bla bla bla....
i always tell her to stick a cork in it and find a new man that CARES about her! she's 61 now and i still want her to remarry one day to a great caring man, just so she can experience what a good man is like. lol
i hope that for my mother too, besides, then there will be someone else to have to put up with her sh*t besides me, haha.
My mom claims she didn't do anything wrong while she was with my dad.
If I one day find out my mom did cheat, I will be devastated. This is the person that raised me to become the good moral person I am. And to think she was capable of doing something like that? I think it would make me hate her.
his alcoholism was the worst thing ever. he abused my mother every time he got hammered. and he wasnt a bad guy. he really wasnt but alcohol just wasnt his friend. and then suddenly he just started to not come home at all. he would come home to sleep on the couch and take a shower occasionally and get clothes but thts it. he never said hi to me or my sister. but yeh. its a huge story tht is behind wat is to be my mother and fathers divorce.
but no. i never hid my feelings from my mother or father. i always bitched at my father and told him how disgusted i was and angered with wat he was doing.
i have two little sisters and one is only two years younger than i am, so we can talk about it (she only left my dad for this man 3 years ago). but my other little sister is only 12, so we leave her out of those discussions, and i don't even know if she knows why my parents split.
my dad has been very good about never letting that slip in front of her.
my mum has tried to put us first (the majority of the time) and she is a good mum, but it is still infuriating to know that she did this and to pretend daily that this is okay. i do though, for my sisters mostly.
i have only once confronted my mum about it. i told her that i was angry and disappointed and that i knew what she did, and that she wasn't fooling anyone. after that she seemed to show gratitude almost that i would put up with her and smile while doing it! it was like she had a whole new respect for me or something.
do you think that that is the right thing to do? to pretend that everything is okay even if it isn't for my sisters' sake?
I don't know you or your family but I know a lot of reasons why people take the other person back is because they rely on them financially. So they feel like they are stuck with them.
