Hi! Yes, I understand. This is what I felt when we got to the end of our fertility journey, as I call it. I've found a few folks like us out there because I have opened up in conversation. And there are women who don't have kids because of early hysterectomy/serious endometriosis, husband died, never found the right guy to marry, etc. They understand, even though it wasn't infertility treatments in their situations.

I'm actually trying to build a support group here in Reno, NV. It is something I've been thinking about for a while. There is nothing for us, but like you, I know we are out there. So, through my church (Catholic), I'm going to pursue this over time. Especially with Catholics, it is drilled into you that you will "be fruitful and multiply." I have found some very compassionate priests who have shared helpful thoughts - such as God loves us as we are, we are not devalued in His eyes because we are not biological mothers, and there is a "spiritual motherhood." That is something I'm still trying to figure out at age 52, but it is getting easier.

Hi ladies! lovely to meet you and thank you for sharing! You raise a very positive point. I do browse that IF board and meet some great people and for the very reasons you state, I set up this board as an 'aftercare point', because we need some serious TLC after our long journies through IF. I just sometimes feel that even though I try to lead a fulfilled life and have many achievements, the public at large seem to think that the only achievement that a woman can have is to raise a family. I get so hurt by that, when all I am trying to do is look forward and be positive. xx

Hi, I have been looking for a group too and stumbled across this site, I still with there was an actual face to face group but I have had no such luck. I myself don't have the option to get treatments, my boyfriend has 3 children and is happy to try but does not want to spend the money to do treatments that may be unsuccessful to have a baby when he already has children. I say boyfriend because I am reluctant to marry since I have already had people leave me because of infertility. Finding a place to discuss how I feel would be amazing. All I ever hear is it will happen someday or when are you going to have one. It brings tears to my eyes every time. Worst one so far is "God just doesn't want you to have children" The only dream I every had was to be a mother and I don't have a friend left without children, most have 3-6 children. I am young still under 30 and everyone just says I am over reacting but all I hear from doctors is that it will never happen. I think about wanting a child, envy for my friend how have children, and pain from my infertility numerous time every day. I feel like I have to hide myself because of this and no one really knows me because they don't understand.

I wish there was more support to. Doctors are telling me the same thing, that their is no way! everyone around me is having babies and i am so hurt that i cant. I feel like i am being punished! i want to move on and feel like life is worth something. have you found any other support or resources?
