I'm not sure what all the facts are but if she has temp custody you should have a visitation agreement with it, if custody has not been set in any way they are your kids, go see them.
If she filed a restraining order on you and filed for sole use of the home why did she do that? Did you physically harm or threaten her? If she did this with no proof of it you can file for a hearing to dismiss the order, she will have to prove it in court.
The more time you let go as is the less chance you have at getting some custody of your kids, you are paving the way to getting the shaft and missing out on raising your kids, you need to do something to knock the case back to the middle of the road.
Cops can help if there is no custody order, they can't if there is, need more details to help.
