I have had joint custody with primary residence of my daughter for 6 years now. In that 6 years i have had to endure countless attacks against me in and out of the courtroom. I have had bogus complaints against me to child services and my x calling and informing my daughters schools and daycares that i am withholding my daughter from him. I do not do any of that. he has generous visitation with her considering he choose to live on the other side of the country with 7 weeks in the summer Easter holidays for 10 days and every other Christmas for 2 weeks. He has alienated me from my friends by telling them stories and lies about me. I was a stay at home mom for the time that we were together and since we split up i have gone back to school and i am now working...Still i am attacked and forced to stay in a financially compromised position it has cost me almost $20000 in court fees he is trying to destroy me financially so that i can not take care of my daughter. When does it ever end? or am i just supposed to keep. He threatens to take my daughter and claims i am unfit because i don't make allot of money... when in reality i make good money i am just poor continually trying to pay my lawyer bills. I am tired of being attacked and alienated. being told i am a bad mother. What really makes me mad is he AGREED to the custody arrangement when we first spilt he AGREED that she would live with me. and since the first day he has attacked me and continued to do so for the last 6 years.
sorry for the rant... i am just tired of everything being out there for the non custodial parent i am not bashing them all but not every non custodial parent is a victim just like not ever custodial parent is the villain.

She went to the schools and started crap there, I took a copy of my decree to the school and showed them that I had sole custody, and when her visitiation was, I demanded they not ler her on the school grounds. She griped, but she should have acted right, she has no decision rights for our two kids, I would have let her do whatever if she didn't bring the drama, but not in her to do it, so I solved it.
Stick to your decree or temp orders or whatever you have in writting, keep radio silence with him, don't allow him to upset you, you just differ in opinion, he can just wonder about it on his end. If you still have to go to court you would have to screw up badly for them to change status quo with your child, that is what he knows, that is why he is telling you that you are screwing up hoping you believe it, because if he would make a judge believe it he would already have the kid.
