my ex doesn't see his kids AT ALL even on the two days a week for 2 hours he was court ordered. long story short he was unemployed and is now employed. Paying cs but wants it modified and over payment put to arrears! Really? His I&E is all lies. Why cant the court see the lies and what's the point of filling those out if thy are never accurate. I don't have an attorney but cant I demand that he prove his expenses in real time???

I believe they have to at least call the place he list of unemployment.

I never understood how parents can be like that. I have not seen my son in almost 6 years and it is killing me (his dad ran off with him) my youngest sons father total dead beat into drugs and alcohol Needless to say my son does not see him but he would make it so I couldn't move. Our son is ten and I said to him he has 2 options 1) put on your big boy panties and be a dad. Make a schedule so our son knows when he is going there and stick to it and I won't ask him for a dime. 2) if he does not then I want child support I will backdate it from birth. For the first time he actually had a job on a fishing boat and was making about $10,000.00 every 6 weeks so the courts would calculate it based on that back pay would be just over 97 thousand. If he didn't want to step up and be a dad or pay the support sign over all rights and he won't have to deal with us. He jumped all over that

Honestly Ldavis sometimes it is better without the dad around. I wish my dad was not in my life growing up and I know my son is happy without his.. Him and I are closer because of it. We have a amazing bond that I don't think it would be the same if his sperm donor was around

Wow! That's great that you were able to get the guy to sign over his rights. I wish that were an option here in Georgia where I live, but I believe someone has to be in position to adopt as a father in order for that to happen. My child is 13 months old but the deadbeat dad only started paying $150/month last month. Now he thinks he's a god & he's threatening to take custody if I don't allow him to see my baby girl while I'm at work. We weren't married so that's not going to happen unless he goes through courts which will see that is offer for child support is basically coffee money.

Anyhoo, AVVO.com was an excellent help for me in advising how to handle a deadbeat. Just post the question in your state and several lawyers will respond with advice.

Yes that is why I did not apply for child support because he probably will be trying to get custody just out of mean intents so I just let him be and did not file for child support. He will bbe destroying me more nerves than money he can give. He is unemployed most of the time anyway.

I suggest you to consult a good attorney in your area a open a case. If he is employed now he has to contribute some amount to his children. You can consult this law firm as well
