Absent father from the start.  Only started to fight me when my son was almost 2 when I went for child support modification.  His first order was almost nothing, so he was ok with paying almost nothing while I did all the work.  Once his support was increased by triple, he began a very dangerous fight for custody.  I have always allowed him to be in his son's life - it was his ultimate decision to not be in it.  We went to mediation (he can afford a lawyer and I can't) and basically he wanted me to drop child support (only about money not my son).  I said no and now we head to trial.  However, he was accused of burning my son with drugs and CPS opened investigation.  Worst time of my life.  I was forced to hire lawyer to try to get my son away from his dad while investigation proceeded.  I won supervised visits so my ex had his mother be the supervisor - and this is when things took a very bad turn.  His mom works for a nearby policy department and began harassing me and bullying me while filming me.  The CPS case came back VERY fast as unfounded - my ex got away with it.  At the hearing to get unsupervised back, he was put on the stand and lied about me.  Said I am a monster, horrible mother, bring my son in dirty clothes, make a scene at every pick up and drop of.  Keep in mind this man has diagnosed mental illness, a lengthy and violent criminal past, does drugs and has extreme anger issues).  The judge didn't even let me speak and he was awarded 50/50 immediately.  Ever since then, his mom still comes to every pick up and drop off.  They are now done at a police station because he said I was a danger.  (i have no criminal record, no mental illless, NOTHING). They began harassing me in the parking lot so I began requesting officer assistance to help me.  My ex and his mom began harassing the officers who came to help me, and all the while in front of my son - and now the police refuse to help me anymore.  I hired a lawyer for trial even though I got laid off - and they won't respond to my begging for help.  I get NO RESPONSE.  I am so afraid of these two that I purchased a firearm and got a concealed carry permit.  My son's life has been turned upside down and is now with a man he hardly knows and is very dangerous!  Nobody will help me.  I put a camera pen in my sons diaper bag two visits ago (not hidden) since nobody is helping me.  He found the camera (or his mom did).  NOW I believe they will do all they can to get full custody.  I have been through hell and back to fight for my son and I am losing.  His mom is trying to ruin my life and shes getting away with everything.  I don't know what to do anymore.
